If not iPhone 8 will do or even those mid range android phone if you want to save cost.

actually i'm purchasing the phone for myself! but went down to singtel to check and they claimed islandwide no more stock for 8 plus.

If want save cost, isn’t it better to use current phone?

iPhone 8+ 64GB for Combo 1 = $938 (ST online got no stock for iPhone 8+, not sure about it's retail shop)
Voucher = -$150
Total $1,244

My Republic $8 x 24Mths = $192
iPhone 8+ 64GB = $1,149 (Lower if able to get from other handphone shop or Carousell)
Total: $1,341

just checked with their plan it's 27 inclusive of caller ID

He happy can liao, seems his mind already set on $8 x 12 deal. How to beat $96 one year contract? If his father don’t use much data, get exp phone also underutilise.

From the specs, iPhone XR will be thicker than XS already felt XS to be quite thick after putting on a case. To be honest, my 8 feels the best.... very slim at just 7.3mm

Battery wise is better than the XS.
Apple only made phone become big and bigger nowadays.

To have all the features like Face ID and edge to edge screen something have to give way.
Also for a bigger phone to be slim is a big risk as it will break easily and also grip issue. All these have to come together to make a good phone which apple alway do a good job in. Not just launch some stand alone new thing to brag about but not useful in daily usage .

Depends. How big is your hand? Your skill good at moving the phone up and down with a single hand?

I’ve seen people using Note 9 with one hand and iPhones XS Max too

If u buy a xr from someone else who got it from telco how the warranty works huh? Need to have any docu from the person who signed the plan?

He needs to hand over the receipt to you. He doesn't need it already but you need it for warranty or applecare claim, so that it will start on the date of purchase.

I had problems before when buying applecare, there was no telco receipt so they backdated according to their shipment records.

I wouldn't buy a phone if the seller doesn't want to hand over the receipt.

I dunno, doesn’t look like there are many differences between the 2. If i like the Xr and sell the Xs Max i should be able to cover a good amount of cost
