Just ordered apple original leather case for my new 13pm! Never bought a leather case before from apple! Hope i made the right choice
if u read the reviews from members here it seems like good quality for leather lovers.

Personally I own a Nomad Horween case instead as I find it more value for money.

This leather case should be the most value for money for those who bought at $49.99 recently lol

anyone has recommendations for a “grippier” case than the pitaka aramid fiber for the iphone 13 pro? :ROFLMAO:
Somehow I think u have already gotten the grippiest slim case u can find in the market. It’s also anti fingerprints too!

any gripper u need to go for UAG, otter box or Elementcase already. Thick and rubbery.

Will try when the price goes down between $30-40! $59.90 seems too ex for a pure rubber case.
You might be in luck. It’s going for $44.35 now in Lazada’s 5.5 sale.
And it’s not rubber leh. Kind of like a plasticky material

I prefer Shopee, because I can use my coins for further discount lol!

not sure about the material feel just yet. Any retail shops selling? Maybe can go see see touch touch first.

I got it after I read some of the reviews here, but I didn't like the case in the end

It feels a little slippery under my hands, perhaps it's my problem because I have big hands, scared it falls thru my fingers.

The edges near the base (charging port) area also seem to be kinda sharp, didn't like the feel when i have to hold that area via my pinkie, can feel the sharp edge jabbing into my pinkie, so i returned it.

the above views are entirely my own after trying it out for a week based on my use case, might not apply to everyone, and not meant to offend anyone using the pitaka magez pro, it's a great case nonetheless

i just received the ringke fusion (smoke), first looks are quite good, gonna try it out for a week and see how it goes :)

No worries friend. i believe every review here is based almost entirely on personal experience. we spent our own money and we are not paid to advertise right? so there is no right or wrong. We are here just to share the wonderful accessories experience which Apple has indirectly created through the years.

Pitaka IMO made excellent quality cases thus far, but just as all cases, its not 1 size fits all.

likely because of the fitting on the top is a little loose. but i must say the overall experience & feel is quite premium for $69. Also not forgetting the strong horween leather smell. LOL!

currently rotating among these cases on my Silver iPhone 13 Pro <3

Apple Silicone Case Abyss Blue - managed to get it a good price from Lazada's Apple Store. Colour matches with Silver (took inspiration from my Watch SE) but I use the least because the case texture doesn't look like it can take stains/oils from day-to-day use too well

Ringke Fusion Matte with Magsafe - had the one without magsafe before so with magsafe it's even more convenient lol. matte everything! esp since the Pro's sides are so slimy feeling

Spigen silicone fit (Lavender) - bought this for fun since it was on sale at Amazon for $18. actually it doesn't feel that different from Apple's but the lag of magsafe is painful (and if they added it it will be close to Apple silicone price)

Caudabe Synthesis (Grey) - this is the one i use the most of. at first i was quite worried about buying because I've never had a Caudabe before and very worried it will be too thick and end up unwieldy. Turns out it's slim enough and the texture of the case and everything is close to perfect for me

Apple leather case Midnight - I just got this only cos it's on sale at Amazon for $53 and i had vouchers to use. Just putting it on these few days to get used to the feel. At first i was bit grossed out like what some of you guys mentioned at the start - the texture doesn't feel like the 7/8/X times of grainy leather. They somehow have smoothened this out so much that it feels like plastic. But after a day the feel in hand is actually the nicest lol just that I would never pay $89 for this especially when Apple has butchered the texture. Thankfully i don't feel the phone being loose inside either so lets hope it stays that way

interms of the Magsafe? it looks to hold onto wallets and pucks as good as Apple's own cases. the Ringke will definitely yellow over time cos my non mag-safe one can tell when not in use the sides are yellow lol. and i've used it for... 1.5 months as a daily case.

ah shucks, sorry for not being clear, i mean does the magsafe charging function work well despite it not being the magsafe model?

it was advertised as magsafe compatible though

I don't know if this might confuse you or others even more, but this video tried to breakdown what all the marketing terms mean:

do note that many phone case makers also tend to slap "Magsafe compatible" very generously on their packaging when they likely only meant wireless charging (Otterbox, Spigen, UAG, Ringke... most do this).

but anyway the little ring on cases only represent how strong/weak the attraction will be. have ring = very strong, no ring = depends on case thickness and you definitely cannot lift by the charger else your phone will drop.

if you're referring to charging speed, that's more dependent on the charger you use. (see the video)

the fastest combination is with official Apple Magsafe charger plugged into a 20W plug; that outputs to 15W of wireless charging speeds

so long you use any "magsafe" charger that is not Apple (benks, anker, belkin) they will drop to 7.5W (or 10 can't remember already). so don't fall for the marketing tricks that I see Belkin and Anker are very guilty of by boasting that it's "magsafe" when it's not - it's "magsafe compatible". You cannot achieve 15W wireless charging speeds on iPhone with those.
