yup, i clarified this with the Shopee seller cos the pictures look the same to me. I think Nomad should have done a better differentiation or at least a comparison chart for their buyers.
Yeah, I agree. The comparison does not show very obvious visual differences so a detailed table showcasing the detailed differences is important

Good buy. I assume your $79.9 is after all the Shopee discount?
I also brought 1 yesterday and yes, horween is the better version but the newer normal leather is more resistant to water.
Now eagerly waiting for both phone and case to arrive 😍
Nomad Horween or Apple Leather?

Anyone can reply to this too!

Once you get some wear on that Nomad case, the leather is going to look gorgeous. It’ll wear far better than any Apple leather case. That said, it’s not exactly slim so weight may be an issue, more so if you have a Max.

Unless Apple have changed the coating on their leather cases this year, they won’t patina at all and the lighter coloured cases will develop dark spots from wear in a couple of months, once the coating eventually breaks down. Absolutely heartbreaking as the saddle brown for the 10 aged wonderfully. Apple started messing with the coating from the 11s onwards…nobody knows if this was due to consumer pressure and we’ll likely never find out. All that said, my wife’s forest green on her 13p still looks good after about 6 months’ use.

Personally, I wouldn’t get the Nomad, even though it’s clearly the better leather case. I never used mine (12p) as it added too much weight. I’d get a dark Apple leather case. It’s slim enough but offers good protection, it’s buttons are more responsive than the Nomad’s, it’s a really good case overall…just forget about aging the leather.

This is my experience too which turned me away from apple leather cases. The blackened spots look like grim and is quite gross. But still love the form factor and clickiness of its buttons. I have yet to discover any other leather case that has the sort of profile and buttons like apple does. So rather go with TPU case like the caudabe sheath instead.

+1 tried nomad case but the bulk not my cup of tea. The feel of the buttons is a no go for me

On a side note their nomad sports case looks nice though, but a fingerprint magnet and can be greasy
