For those looking forward for "Apple Leather casing" - please beware that there quality has drop significantly from Iphone 12 series leather casing onwards. What I mean by drop significantly is that, the case will start to have black discolored patches around it. it looks ugly like hell. The side will peel off. This is coming from me who has been using leather case bought from apple for 2 years (I complained to apple and they switch it once for me for free and the problem came back after a year again). Suggest reconsider your choice and go for silicon instead. If not, go for leather from other brands.

If you dont believe me, you can youtube and see the effects after people have used for quite awhile.

I’ve been using them since iPhone X and I’m aware. On my 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max the effect is also like what you described but I’m still getting the leather for the 14 Pro Max and intend to do it annually. It’s not the quality dropped but a slightly different process of manufacturing them. The new leather cases ahve a coating on them, hence the fading of the colour and are evident most on the edges.

Great. For myself, i wont be paying this price for apple leather case with those issues. In my opinion it should give off that patina effect over time and should not peel so badly at the sides. I have used leather case for Iphone X and didnt had this issue previously. The fading color doesnt just appear on edges, it does appear at the back of the case over time (patches). I will be getting silicon this year. I am posting this to let other new people who are considering leather case to know there is this issue going on and if they are ok with it they can go ahead and buy it.

I know. My friend's Golden Brown has this problem with the 13 Pro Max. I chose the Sequoia Green and it was much better.

Yes, I used the leather case with my iPhone X too and it gives a very nice effect. Too bad something happened post-12

I don’t have an issue on the back because I’ve the wallet attached to it, so still very clean. Silicon doesn’t appeal to me as it’s a serious lint/dust magnet.

Those keen on leather cases can consider Bullstrap, have been using it for awhile and moreover with its lifetime warranty if purchase direct. Only con is bottom not covered

Have been searching for MagSafe clear case full protection no luck so far. Power support have not update yet. Was able to buy the dbrand MagSafe clear case however singtel do not have the delivery option to purchase and only self collect thus it was removed from my cart. Even lionshield also no stocks for ip14 pro max.
