I just did. Sold my iPhone 15 Pro Max today. Replaced it with iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.

Why China suppliers all make the black border screen protector when their black border cmi. Aiyo! Cui lei. Just do full glass without black border solve liao mah

Omg.. just realise removing otterbox lumen case were hard to.. actually abit sore on my right thumb..

looking at naked iPhone were good. Wiping off dust.

but probably the case scratch my side of iPhone but hard to spot.

Pretty sure that Black Border SP dominated sales as there are so many advantages to them.

However, they were likely caught off guard as they didn’t receive information on how thin the bezel is going to be. What they have is the iPhone physical dimensions.

That said, I’m sure there are still some companies who have compatible black border sp. AMAZINGthing and BLUEO are among those. The black border only very slightly cover the screen, the 4 L corners are visible

The below points may not be applicable to the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max series. I'm using the Spigen GlastR EZ Fit TGSP and it's really quite good for a non black border TGSP.

However, I think some these points highlighted why black border TGSP are very popular and why most of the brands/companies continues to make black border TGSP.

1. The black borders are there to hide any bubbles that might form due to the difficulty of having the curve of the screen protector match the curve of the phones. This is evident in older iPhone models like the 11 Pro series where non black borders TGSP are unable to stretch to the edge of the screen.

2. Black borders TGSP are typically edge to edge and fully protects the screen. In the event of drops, non black borders TGSP may not be able to 100% protect the screen from scratches (especially the edges).

2. Dust/lint accumulation on the black borders TGSP are less obvious/distracting.

3. Non black borders TGSP that just about cover the display is susceptible to the 'rainbow effect' as light refracts through the edge of the TGSP which is very distracting.
