For those who got their iPhone on launch day, there's 6 more days to add AppleCare+

I'm seriously contemplating whether to sign up for it especially since I currently prefer the cutout cases and the camera control is quite brittle (Tests by JerryRigEverything shows that there is barely any Sapphire on the crystal button).

There are more and more incidents now of iPhone users breaking their camera control button on impact with or with the control cover. Glass (Sapphire or not?) is brittle after all. With AppleCare+, it cost $148 for accidental damage and one can only wonder how much it'll cost to repair without AppleCare+

Apple care+ can be purchase after 60 days so you got more than 250+ days to think. Plus, it's pro-rated in the event if you cancel the plan, you will still get back $$$ for those unused months.

It was from Lazada Spigen Official store and shipped locally.

Usually depends on the return policy and with the holiday season, return policy is quite generous. If the item is not opened or damaged, they usually can accept it.

Anyway, they sent a case that was obviously opened and used before so sorry I'll return it regardless hahaha.

I currently rotate between the Rebel Air2, Gen6 Frosted, Sheath and Synthesis. :D :D
Oh no wonder. Hahaha if my Spigen case does not work for me, I may just return it too :s13: Just bought two cases last night and one of them is the Spigen case.

That’s quite a lot of cases for you to choose from leh.

I read and learnt that you can buy your AppleCare+ before 365 days is up. So you can buy it on the 364th day too if you want to. Just bring to the Apple Store and let them examine.

I have also asked the staff at Apple Store about this. At first he said 60 days. After I probed further, he said yes can buy after 60 days :o I hope they don’t change this.

But ultimately, it will also cost the consumer if something happened to the phone during the 364-365 days.

And yes, like you, I did consider to get AppleCare+ earlier too due to the camera control button, although I haven’t gotten the phone yet to understand how “scratchable” or brittle it is. Not sure how much this button costs if we pay with the insurance lmao. :s13: But if I don’t intend to use it, so even if it spoilt, I probably won’t repair it unless I have the AppleCare+ and they repair for free.

Your $148 - not including the cost of AppleCare+ itself ya?

I feel that for some of us who change annually, it’s really just buy within the first 60 days else can forget about it already hahaha..

Those who intended to drag out for 360 days probably intend to use their phone for min. 3 years. That said, my XS Max 6 years already still going strong and like new condition hahaha 🤣🤣

Apple care+ before you buy ask for EPP first, they will check if you are eligible for EPP pricing. Do bring your company pass along.
