Someone reviewed here near the iPhone launch date that the camera control cover is made of some copper material and might scratch the actual thing itself.

Ya i see the Supcase camera control inside i scared already. The other camera control covered ones like Apple Silicone and Otterbox Lumen feel soft and rubbery on the camera control inside. Definitely won't scratch the phone.

I now using hoda. Screen blocked a bit. But I feel safe. So can still wait haha

after awhile one will realised it’s not any big of a deal as that tiny weeny blockage won’t make any noticeable difference to user experience or functionality. The borderless one on the other hand may be noticeable with the dust accumulation around the corners.

Personally won’t bother too much with either as by then my “honeymoon” period is over.

The screen blockage only will become an issue for me, if it blocks the words from my novel

Wow so fast plan ahead? When this year most of the companies sales of their iPhone 16 series will be cui? If we Singaporeans, so many of us mind of the open hole of the Camera Control button, I believe it will be a worldwide Apple users’ preference to have that hole covered.

That being said, I still gently believe that those richer, more established phone cases companies like Caudabe, Mous, Nomad, etc will re-release an updated covered Camera Control button for their top selling range of cases to boost their this year’s revenue.

Didn’t Caudabe Sheath release an updated covered hole case of iPhone 15 Pro series silent switch button. Iirc, Andar too had 2 versions in their early release of their leather case for 15 Pro series - uncovered, then covered hole of Silent switch.

I might be wrong but yeah it’s my opinion that most companies will take their time to make a good camera control instead of rushing something out that doesn’t make the mark.

Currently, the only company that made a decent cover is Spigen and even theirs is not as intuitive as Apple’s Original. A bad example is Supcase as their button cover is not good enough.

Third party companies have already missed the big launch window and if they don’t launch the new cases by Black Friday or the festive holidays, most of their sales opportunities would be gone.

Last year’s action button cover is a different scenario altogether. Many case manufacturers made announcements almost immediately after launch that there are works in progress to release cases with action button cover. They managed to release in time for the major end of year sales windows.

This time round, Mous/Nomad etc. are silent. Caudabe customer support says there are no plans to make changes as they believe the naked camera control is most intuitive and offers the best experience of navigating the features of camera control.

Spigen’s Ultra Hybrid T works great for me i feel. I have 2 of them and whether its half pressing or sliding, it works just as well as being naked

The camera control button will scratch the supcase control button.

Because action button is just...a button. It's a easy fix.

I am guessing to test functionality first before rolling it out to the rest of their range.

Spigen hardly disappoints with their MagSafe strength and protection. And their camera control works great.

abit thicket tha usual but acceptable for me. not really the bulky case.
Feel similar or alittle little bit lighter than Supcase.

but $13 for this with camera control button is no horse run.

If cheap taobao no brand cases can come out with camera control covered cases, you can be sure the big brand players gonna do the same too or be left behind
