seriously this new policy is damn complicating, but yet not properly explained to us NSmen...

1st of all, I dont recall opting for IPT. 2nd, your explanation that if I had opt for RT and should be completed by April. But now is July, and they are still allowing me to book all the 20 RT sessions. So is this a loophole in the booking system???

You see my agony (and probably others too). One side they have new policy which many dont understand, and also system with loopholes which allow us users to book sessions despite missing datelines which we arent aware of.

Bro, although not clearly communicated to nsmen, I think the charge is for 2010-2011 Aug work year. Then the RT that We r doing now is for work year 2011 Aug to April 2012. Possible???

They are not backdating. Charge is always in the new window. They need to know whether if u defaulted by giving u time to complete your IPT/RT.

Past year IPT attendance record is on your ns portal.

Like I mentioned earlier, if u have fail your IPPT for the last year, u won't be allowed to book IPT for the following year until u clear your RT. Since u were able to book your IPT, I'm pretty sure it's because of the 1 time conversion of RT to IPT.

Anyway, I have given u all the advice. If u still want to argue your way with the officer, then expect to pay a fine for your offence.

Nono, I really appreciate your advice and patience. At least you explain clearer than the hotline person.
I received a call from my unit and I explained my case to him. It seems that its a grey situation too, so they need to investigate and get back to me again...

I had recently taken an IPPT attempt during my ICT last week.

The ICT IPPT results information had been captured in ns.sg under Past IPPT records.

Prior to my ICT, I had started the IPT program and so far attended 2 sessions(1 IPPT cat test+ 1 training).

My ICT IPPT attempt results were sufficient for me to clear my PPT.

However, even though the ICT IPPT attempt had been captured in ns.sg, under the IPT booking page, it says that I have not cleared my IPT requirements.

Any advice as to why this is the case?

@Kage82, if u have just taken your ippt a few days ago, wait a week or so for your status to be updated.

As long as u have your result slip and the system has your result, u are quite safe.

I'm trying to re-schedule my RT-IPPT date on ns.sg by cancelling a booking and re-booking my 8th session but it now appears as RT instead of RT-IPPT instead. What gives? I'm currently only on my 4th session.

The system will auto change your 8th session into rt-ippt after u completed your 7th session. Even if it doesn't, just go on the day that u book, u will still be able to take your ippt.

Oh dear. I thought as long u attended IPT at least one session, once u take IPPT and clear ur IPT band, the window is closed??

vasili07, thanks for the advice
yup i checked ns.sg today and it has been updated saying i have cleared my IPT for this window.

Btw, would just like to check. I have cleared PPT2 this yr.
If I get PPT 0 next year during IPT-IPPT cat test(usually tt's the case cause my 2.4 pulls me down due to lack of training), then what would be PPT that I am supposed to clear next yr?

Always a +1 no matter u pass or fail. Will only -1 the following year if u cannot clear next year.

now i managed to squeeze 20 session in 2 months for my rt period

but due to work i had to forgo my next rt-ippt session next saturday, and change the rt-ippt date to another day

but by doing so, i won't be able to complete 20 session in 2 months, if i can pass my rt-ippt on the 8th and 14th session no issues for it right?

u have 3 months to do your rt. Just ask the pti/admin there and u can extend it to the 3rd month. And passing rt-ippt earlier means u don't have to attend all 20 sessions.

eh, passing ippt during rt dosen't mean auto-discharge?

btw what i meant was i squeezed 20 session in the last 2 months of my rt window lol
