Sorry if this has been asked before...

I've passed my previous window's ippt. In order to get ppt 1 for the current window, can I go book a non-ict ippt and fail every station before booking my ipt 1st session? Anybody done that before and managed to get ppt 1?

Thanks

I just received my SAF 264 letter for defaulting Ippt. If I were to pass my RT-IPPT before my birthday am I clear of the charge or do I still have to report to cmpb?

Hi all,

I've brought up this issue somewhere in this thread a couple of weeks back. Basically my ippt window closes in mid may. In april I've gotten a 3 mths status to excuse IPPT and physical training as I'm suffering from a meniscus tear as proven by a MRI and a specialist report. Fearing that I would be charged for defaulting IPPT, I booked a session at MAJU camp right before my window closes. However, I was barred from taking the IPPT as the PTI mentioned that the system shows that I'm on status. In july, I've gotten another 3 mths of excuse IPPT and physical training (This is back to back with the previous one) till late sept next month, which meant that I'm unable to take the RT as well.

I understand that given a 6 mths status I will be exempted from IPPT for that particular window, however this particular window which ends mid aug shows that I have only 5 mths of status (I did not met the criteria). Anyone with similar experience?

Today I received the SAF 264 telling me that I've been charged for defaulting on IPPT. I called the NS hotline for the 5th time (Yes, 5th time) explaining my situation for the 5th time and receive the same answer for the 5th time, that is they will get my unit to call me, and I have not receive a single call from the previous 4 times. So I hope this time round they will really give me a call back.

Meanwhile any advise from anyone what I should do? Thanks.

1. MC don't need to go, rebook another session. Excuse must be at least 6-9 months to be totally excused from RT. If excuse upper limp for a few days, then don't need to do upper limp ex, convert to lower limp.

2. Talk to your unit as everyone got to fulfil their RT requirements.

Unless u have your PC/OC or CO number, call them. Maybe ask MP to write letter although I doubt MP letter got any power except to exert pressure on them.

Got try asking to speak to ns.sg supervisor or their superior? But I think it's your unit lazy as they are mostly NSFs if I'm not wrong. I requested to speak to my unit a couple of times and they called me back within 3 working days.

Yes, I will try and bring this issue up to my OC if my unit did not call me back by friday as promised, see if my OC has any direct line that I can call to speak to someone reliable.

And you're right, I think almost all of the clerks in my unit are NSFs.

Oh crap. ran 13.52 last ippt. so my ppt will be in 1 or 2?

They mentioned it's compared by the system so also hard for me to give u the exact ppt. But if u have always been failing, then normally they will give u the lowest.

Hi,

I've just booked my RTs and I would like to confirm something that I recall reading from here b4.

1) If we booked and nv turn up for RT, there is no limit like IPPT right? We wun get faulted if we do not turn up? (Not on purpose but asking for just in case);)

2) If we bked then cancel RT, how many times can we cancel our RTs?

3) RT on Sat regardless of which FCC only have 1600 hrs slot and I read that they are going to delay it to 1630 from 6th Oct 2012? Why did I see than Sun RT have 0800 slots?

Thanks in advance!

1) Yes, no limit.

2) As many as times as u like.

3) Don't know since they set the timing. I believe it has always been like this for Sun.

Ok, Just received a callback from my unit camp, for the first time out of the 5 calls I've made to the NS hotline. The recruit told me that as I'm on a 6 months status (3 mths + 3 mths back to back), the unit will withdraw the charges made. So for others experiencing similar problems, this is the answer I got from my camp and I appreciate it alot.

Unless u can pass or meet your ppt, a non ict-ippt is not counted as a session. U have to book an ipt session to take your ippt. SAFRA got e-prep(if i got the name correct), ipt held in safra, $200+ for this.
