U can't book IPPT during RT period. So earliest u can take is on the 8th session, which also is the last session.

hi all,
questions for getting excuse on rt how?
i don't really see ns portal got any number.

i actually booked rt a few weeks back. but injured myself. and now i'm in hospital for surgery and will only be discharged 1-2 weeks later. and my window for rt is closing in 2 months time...

i also doubt i would be fit enough to attend then too.
coz i tore my ACL...its gonna take a few months minimum for rehab etc.

Call ns.sg then they will contact your unit for u.

1) Assume that i did not complete IPT (attend < 10 sessions), and PPT was not met. When i go for my 20 sessions RT, will i need to pass my allocated PPT band or do i have to pass the standard IPPT?

2) If my birthday is on 31st Dec, i assume my window closes on 30th Sept. Can i still take my last IPT lesson on 30th Sept?

1) I don't think so. You may want to call ns.sg to double confirm on this.

Check the ipt faqs, found under the drop down menu after u logged in.

Most likely yes but still try to do your worst in cat test if u cannot pass.

Yes but don't book so many sessions at 1 time if u not sure u can attend.

Just some info. For those that passed their IPPT in their previous window and wish to enrol in IPT for the present window, you will get PPT 3 even if you get 0 for all the stations in the cat test.

Cat test result will not be used to determine your ppt if u have a past ippt result from last year.

Just to confirm for u now...

Determination of PPT
The PPT standard for the NSmen in a typical birthday window will be derived from the first IPPT test result conducted during the 1st session of the IPT. Test results from the 1st session will be compared with the previous year, and the results with the higher IPPT standard will be used. For NSmen who just transited to ORNS, the 1st session IPPT result in IPT will be used instead. The entry level of the lowest performing IPPT station will be used as the starting point to derive the target PPT standard for all stations. NSmen must achieve the next higher level by the 10th session (IPT IPPT) in order to be considered as having met their PPTs. See Table 1 below for illustration of PPT starting points.

Once login, go to IPPT Menu, on the dropdown Menu, select General Infomation, scroll down to select "IPPT Preparatory Training"
