Nothing will happen.

Yes, rebook.

No need to show anything.

For 8 sessions rt, only the 8th session is ippt, the 1st 7 is training.

You have NOT PASSED your IPPT for the period 24/03/2012 to 23/12/2012.

You have NOT COMPLETE your IPT for the period 24/03/2012 to 23/12/2012.

Your next IPPT window will start from 24/03/2013 onwards.

a) Please COMPLETE your 10 sessions of IPT with PPT met in order to exempted from RT. If you did not meet the PPT you will be subjected to take 8 RT sessions in the last 3 months of your birthday windows.

Question:

1) suppose i were to skip my 8 training IPT sessions and straight away book my 2nd IPPT (meaning for the 10 IPT sessions, i go for only the 1st and the 10th) and i FAIL to meet my PPT, i am subjected to 8RT.

lets say i were to take the 10th session today and i failed it, can i start my 8 RT this week? coz it says that "If you did not meet the PPT you will be subjected to take 8 RT sessions in the last 3 months of your birthday windows."

2) for my next IPPT window (which will start on 24/03/2013 onwards), if i still want to take IPT, do i only book an IPT-IPPT after 24/03/2013? or do i need to complete a set of IPT (10 sessions) before 24/03/2013?

3) Are the 8 RT sessions paid?

1) If I didn't misunderstood u, u just want to take 2 sessions of IPT(both IPPT) and skip the 8 training sessions, right? If yes, then u will attend 20 RT sessions instead of 8 RT sessions. You have to attend all 10 IPT sessions, if fail to meet PPT, then only u will attend 8 RT sessions.

2) Your IPPT window is the same as your IPT window, so u can only book IPPT/IPT once your window is open. Every new year if u decide to go for IPT, u will need to complete 10 sessions unless u meet your PPT or decides to drop out/default.

3) Yes, u will be paid for every rt session.

1) IPT is voluntary. If you take an IPPT, you will need to pass it based on the IPPT standard. If you have taken IPT and complete the 8 sessions, the standard of clearing the IPT is easier.

2) If you have not passed your IPT or IPPT, you will need to do RT in your next window in 2013 first.

3) Do not need to pay for RT.

I thouught you can go for 1st IPT then u gt your BAND.

Say Band 1. So you just have to book IPPT and once u hit your Band 1 you are considered pass for that window. dont have to even clear the 8 or 9 IPT sessions..

after you went for your first ipt session, which is a ipt-ippt, and get your target band, you can just book a normal ippt to hit the target band and you are cleared for the year.

if you can hit your target band so matter how hard you try, then just complete the 10 ipt sessions and you will only need to go for 8 rt sessions during the last 3 months. as opposed to 20 rt sessions in the last 3 months if you did not complete the 10 ipt sessions.

Need more clarifications on this.

Supposed I attended the FIRST IPT-IPPT session, and i got my target band:

(i) If I decide not to attend the full 9 sessions and decides to 'Book IPPT', for the IPPT, if I manage to clear the target band, I am considered to have Pass my IPPT. True or False?

(ii) If I decide not to attend the full 9 sessions and decides to 'Book IPPT', for the IPPT, if I DID NOT manage to clear the target band, I am considered to have Failed my IPPT. I will NOT get the luxury of continue-ing my remaining IPT sessions but instead be confined to 20 sessions of RT. True or False?

Truth: If I have attended the full 9 sessions of IPT and I DID NOT manage to pass my last IPT-IPPT aka the 10th session, I am considered to have FAILED my IPT and will be confined to 8 sessions of RT.

Regarding the next question, to better simplify things, I'll just ask in this way.
Q: If i want to apply for IPT for my 2013 window, what should I do? Do I need to apply for IPT before 24/03/2013? or I can ignore the IPPT window, let it lapse, and den apply for IPT 25/03/2013 onwards?

i) yes.

If u want to clear your window for 24/03/2012 to 23/12/2012, then u have to complete your ipt by 23/12/2012. RT will be from 24/12/2012 to 23/03/2012 if applicable.

considered to have completed your IPT and will be only need to do 8 sessions of RT, as opposed to 20 sessions for those that did not volunteer and/or complete their ipt.

all 10 ipt sessions must fall within the 1st 9 months of your window.

eg. if your new window starts on 24/03/2013, then your 10 ipt sessions must be from 24/03/2013 to 23/12/2013.

the last 3 months (ie. 24/12/2013 to 23/03/2014) is for RT only.

ans bolded and in blue

Whats the answer for this then?

What are the outcomes for me if I decide to skip the 8 training sessions and go straight for IPPT?

no outcome...

you can just continue from your ipt from where you left off previously.

hit ppt during ippt or ipt-ippt or rt-ippt = window clear

complete all 10 ipt sessions without meeting ppt = only need to do 8 rt sessions

never complete all 10 ipt sessions or nv sign up for ipt at all = need to do 20 rt sessions

furthermore if nv attempt ippt or ipt-ippt during the 1st 9 months of windows = will be charged for defaulting ippt

U can still continue to go for your remaining ipt sessions if your window is not closed yet.

so frankly speaking, the best way to cheat the system is to complete until the 8th session.

so after the 8th session, keep book IPPT. try until I can pass, if not, when window about to close in about 2 weeks, I just complete the 9th and 10th session and if still fail i just need to commit to 8 more RT?

No. If u keep going for IPPT and can't pass, u are just wasting your time going to the FCC. In simple terms, u are doing extra sessions. :s22:

People just go for 10 ipt sessions + 8 rt sessions, u want to go for 10 sessions + 8 rt sessions + n number of ippts. :s22:
