IPPT, IPT & RT Questions...

This is maddening! i have just started to book my RT. It says i have to complete 20 RT within 2 months. And i am located near to Bedok Camp. So with studies as commitment, i try to fit in every possible slots. And also there's this rule that dont allow back to back booking. And with the slots not available everyday ( dont understand why there's a jump from 11/8 - 22/8), how to book RT?

Actually I have a similar question. Lets say that you're a student and your timetable is such that everyday you have school till 6/7pm and perhaps you can only book RT on Fridays and Sundays or just one day a week.

If you cannot complete even though you go for every session you can, will they still charge you if you show your timetable or something?

i think i read somewhere that says you can ask for extension. but not sure how to go about. And one more thing, 8th and 14th session cant fall on sun or mon. makes it even more pek che.

But the extension for one month only right? If still cannot leh? Will tio charge uh? Haiz serve the nation also so troublesome.

Yes, u can ask for an extra month extension at the FCC.

I will also advise u to take up ipt in your next window. U have 9 months to do 10 ipt sessions. If u fail to meet your ppt, u will just need to do 8 rt sessions in 3 months. Treat it as a longer installment plan.

Haha yeah that's what I'm doing now. The thing I like about IPT is you have a lot of time to do just the 10 sessions and if you really cannot make it last minute then no punishment.

First time fail can convert. I failed in July then when I log in got this pop up asking me if I wanna convert.

Eh how u get the pop up? i jus ended my 1st window recently. i also took in July and failed.

Every NSman will commence on the enhanced NS IPPT System on his next birthday on/after 1 Apr 11.
You will have a one-off opportunity to take up enhanced IPT in lieu of your outstanding RT. This is only applicable if you have outstanding RT at the start of your next birthday window on/after 1 Apr 11.

U should have an option to convert(if applicable) on your ns portal after your window is closed. Or u can just call ns.sg and ask them to check for u.

Could be...cuz u are suppose to choose RT or IPT. Anyway, just call and check.

Hey thanks alot vasilli. just called them. they say that i dont have the pop up thing, will forward my case to duno who. then will get back to me next week. its just that i already booked my RT le. going for the first one tml. then they say that it will not be counted towards the IPT if i converted. think i will jus go there earn some money ba. lol

The ppl over there called and said that my system will be updated next week then i can choose to opt for IPT. they also mentioned that the IPT covers both last and this yr windows.

But i have booked RT today later and they said that i can just give it a miss. So just curious will there be any penalty if i book an RT and i did not go for it?

when during RT, does the IPT band still apply? meaning during the 8th RT session, if i can improve my band from 1 to 2..will i be out from RT?

im in deep trouble man..i have to work till late around 7-8pm everyday and the only time where i can go for RT is during weekends and i cant complete 20 RT sessions within the 3 month period.zzz...worst still i cant book back to back sessions..

anyone in similiar situation as me? any advice? thanks a lot.

rt is rt. ipt is ipt. cannot mix de. suck thumb ask superior let u go off early

if you managed to hit your target band in your rt-ippt, you are still considered cleared for the year. you can also just book a normal ippt and hit your target band.

also, want to highlight that you need to hit your target band (ie. ppt) in order to clear your current window. improving your band will not clear you.
