Li-Ion battery is a good choice but for the price quoted, believe u r only getting the 2550mAh version. One word of caution, the 2550mAh is very marginal, meaning it can cover 2 full RUNS but barely so. What happens when the battery is worn down is that u'll be getting less than 2 full runs from it.

capacity supposed to be comparable run time but not in rating.

380 grey battery is from july 07 to now.

my spare blue battery + 5800 batter also less than 1.5 mission now, should be ard sep-oct 07 purchase.

It should last 2 mission for 380 or 350.

While 5800 battery last 1.5 mission.

Have been using scooba 380 for the past 6 months, and its worth every cent! cleans better than mopping and saves you time as well, i'd recommend it. Got via Vpost

380 has an external charger where you take out the batt and plug in.

yes, 2 batteries will be using daily.

I am using external charger, charging battery for 3.5hr max.

It should work the same way right? as long as the output is 22VDC 1.25A?

yes, i think someone had tried before with laptop adapter, though it's not easy to find 1 with 22v.

Whoa! Dont suggest u try replacing it with that... voltage way way too small and 1A is not up to the task. Doubt u can charge up the battery properly...

If i rem correctly, the amp only affects 'how long it takes to charge'

However, output voltage I am not sure how that works...

Inside i count 12 batteries... which means = 12X1.2 =14.4V?
