iRobot Scooba experience

Appreciate if any kind soul would enlighten me on the following:

1. Is there any shop in singapore that selling irobot roomba or scooba?
2. How is the pricing compare to buy direct from US?
3. Steps to buy from US....

So far i saw it at Courts Tampines (Megamall)

Their pricing as follows:
Roomba 530 - $788
Roomba 560 - $988
Scooba - $1.3k

From what i heard. They demos on weekends.

Then an on board incinerator to incinerate and vaporise the dirt also

I think most impt now is to increase battery life + decrease weight & size.

for noise, i guess vacuuming sure make some sound.

IMO..SGP selling too ex...so the decision is yours...most of us here getting from US via Vpost or Comgateway..

U guys noticed things are really getting very expensive here??? Singapore used to be the electronics paradise in the 80s and 90s with foreigners coming here to buy such stuff. Now, if u check around, many of the electronic items are cheaper in US. Digital cameras, robotic cleaners and many others. Just purchased a Braun electric shaver at almost 1/3 the price we have to pay here. Nevermind the lack of local warranty i say ...

saw somebody posted in the other forums that he has a lobang woh. comes with 240v charger somemore. dunno true or not lol!

might as well ask hyflux to design one to make water from air, then no need to refill water ever again.

for godness sake. that stupid dragonfly condense water from the air can only produce a cups of water per day only, and it depends on the humidity. It's noisy and suck up too much electricity....

Also saw some peoples selling on yahoo auction You may want to take a look at them.

I got my 560 by my cousine sending to me .. total cost about $540

Just look at the dust picked up everyday, it made me feel so much cleaner already

scooba charging problem

fellow scooba owners, im in need of some help...

i juz recieved my scooba 2 days ago and went to mod the charger at SLT yesterday. came back and charged until its solid green.

proceeded to test in kitchen and it work beautifully. i then left the scooba not plugged to the charger and went to sleep.

today i tried to do a session in my hall but the batt was flat (red). plugged in charger, blinks green awhile then service light came on followed by 4 beeps.

manuel says this means charger got problem but my scooba charger LED is strong and no smoke/burning smell.

anybody got idea how to troubleshoot this?

YES EXACTLY... luckily handphones not so affected yet... even keyboards etc also cheaper over there...

I was offered a Roomba 570 (US set, sealed new in box) for S$750. After buying transformer at about S$30, it is S$780. Is this a good buy? How much is it selling for Singapore

If you currently in US, it's too ex i think. getting the 560 only less than 300usd. the difference is oni the command center which is only $39.90

i think you are paying a $250+ premium by getting from that person.

Go for it only if you think the $250+ is worth the trouble saved.

I think it's quite ok then, becuz for 570, it actually cost $399 excl Tax in US. I am here but contemplating to get the 560 anot after hearing so many power issue

You have a Roomba? Worth buying the 560? It's pretty cheap here in US.

Think the mod probably wasnt properly done. Either u bring back the power supply to check or get a new one. Alternatively, u can try ordering an external charging base to see if its not so particular like the Scooba onboard charging circuit.
