Anybody got any experience or feedback on getting the irobot from ebay?

I bought from ebay before. No problems, very clear cut with ebay/paypal combination. Just make sure you get from reputable seller :) remember, if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is.

An answer I got from a ebay seller regarding shipping costs. Reasonable?

"USPS is $95 with insurance.

The box is too big to fit in the USPS Flat Rate Box.

So it has to go USPS International priority 6-10 Business Day Delivery which normally takes 2-3 weeks.

However; we have a special deal with FedEx

They're shipping normally costs over $280

However with our FedEx Corporate discount we pass along the savings to you!

$95 for FedEx 4-7 day International AIR

or $125 for FedEx 2-4 day International AIR

Our price with FedEx includes us paying the fedex broker fee!

You will still of course be billed for any import fees and taxes your country charges with FedEx or USPS!

FedEx is the same price and much quicker! So we will use FedEx for you :)

Also if you need to get more then one item the shipping is much cheaper!! It is only $40 for each additional item you add on.

Therefore if you were to get 2 of the products and used FedEx 4-7 day Air it would be $95 + $40 = $135 total shipping which brings it down to $67.50 each item!! "

Why ah? Planning to order from ebay since HSN no stock... Any other places to order from then?

I bought mine from ebay. communications is important. When I bought my Scooba, that stupid guy went to test run for me when I only asked him to see the battery is working. after selling my Scooba away, and finance my Roomba, the deal went through smoothly. :s22:

hmm, for now it seems like a lot of US site is blacklisting Sgp address and creditcard. Maybe we should update this list and avoid wasting our time trying to order

Sites that don't allow shipping to Sgp:
- HSN
- Buy.com?
- irobot?

I think woot still can use right? come to think of it, I just ordered my scooba accessories using hsbc cc and google chkout last mth, it was still ok. Now cannot already?

But some eBay seller wont accept Paypal International (ie. non US paypal) or international credit card. The only way to deal is money oredr or TT which is slow and sexpensive. :(

Always ask before you bid. I kena and had to mutually withdraw the bid and time wasted, but experience gained. :D
