Despite my reservations concerning the Scooba, i couldnt resist not getting one... so here's my Scooba 350 (just arrived!)

... So now, the torturing wait... the 16hr first charge :s22:
:s22: where you order? External box looks different from my 380 box.

How much is the 350 and delivery with USPS?

Oh hey, thanks! ... I'll be down in S'pore fr 29th to 31st. Hopefully they have some good promotions on Roomba or Scooba (especially since new models are out).

Aarrggh...I can't wait to get my hands on my the new Roomba. Will use my stay in S'pore to convince my cousin to order for me from US, using Vpost.

Just received my scooba 5800 which I got it off Ebay.

May I know which step down transformer you guys are using. Appreciate If you can give the model name and watts so I can source from SLT.

Have a 300watts one brand is Super which I am using for my speakers. Can I use it to charge the scooba?

I'm also using a Super step down transformer, a 120W model to power both my Roomba and Scooba. If there's sufficient spare capacity in yr Super 300W to power both the speakers and yr Scooba, u should be able to use it w/o issues. Just get a 2/3 way adapter to share (make sure u get one that supports US plug fitting).

homefix also got sell step down transformer.

Newstar 100w for abt $24 and 150w for abt $28.

150w have a glass fuse for double protection. :s7:

I have both of them, no problem using it.

Thanks whypurplishblue for the pic. :)

Thanks guys, now I have a pretty good idea which to buy. Did a short read up over at Roomba Review Chat forum on step down transformers. Think some of you are already forum members there.

I use roomba first to pick up most of the hair. Scooba is a pain to clean the hair. I would normally schedule the roomba during the day while i'm at work, then when i get back, i'd run the scooba :)

:o it depends.

most of the times, I am lazy to run roomba, since scooba vacuum can suck in the hairs. :s13:

1 thing from roomba, the battery will also be gone when left unused for a few days. :s22:

btw how's yr 350? the battery lasting for 2 full tanks?

my mum wants to get 350 also in future. :s22:

Its easy to clean the filters, but I find it so troublesome to clean the scooba brushes, the hair can get quite tangled up. not fun to slowly pull the hair out. I just follow what I normally do pre-irobot hehe.. manual sweep/vacuum then do mopping (now retired collecting dust :D )

I used my Roomba first followed by Scooba. My power LED is still green even after 2 COMPLETE cycles, which is enough to cover 3 bedrooms and 1 living room. Dirty water drained out is slight greyish in colour. As my place is cleaned daily, when i clean Scooba after the 2 runs, all its components are pretty clean. Nothing dirty in the filter and the brush did not appear to have hair/debris twined. One thing I noticed while Scooba was cleaning, it does occasionally make some squeaking noise. Also, if u stopped Scooba halfway in the clean cycle (say to move it to another room) and pick it up, there's a small puddle of water left on the floor. If u activate the dry cycle before picking up, its ok. I hate it when u pick it up and it drips a little while u carry it about. Do u guys face this problem? As for the noise level, seems pretty quiet to me. If i were to compare, it seems a little quieter than my Red :)

If i need to cover all rooms + kitchen + rear yard all in a day, i think i need at least 3 clean cycles which will take 150 mins! :s31: For those with no patience, perhaps 2 units of 350 will be ideal for a typical sized apartment (if u need to clean the whole house in 1 go). One more thing, u cant beat the Scooba in terms of cleanliness... its even cleaner than manual mopping! :s13:

I've only used my Scooba once but i find that its easier to clean the Scooba than my Roomba. Takes me only 1 min to wash the brush, brush housing, filter and port. Another min to wash the tank and wipe down Scooba body. Done! For Roomba, it takes me at least 5 mins to empty bin and clean filter + general cleaning of Roomba.
