I guess you have to wait longer. I received an email from someone asking me why he had not received his roomba after 3 months thinking that I am the official Robovac distributor and I replied him that I did not even sell on groupon.

I am impressed by that guy's patient as to wait for 3 months.

For 3 mths, I rather get the new bots on sale at Sitex, really bad service for such a long wait ... ;)

Hi all,

I'm a current user of roomba 530 series. May I asked if the new aerobin is more effective than the standard bins.

Also, I'm interested in scooba. But can it clean on laminate floorings? Distributor in Singapore says it is not recommended. Also, where can I can the cleaning solution?

Will appreciate if you guys can offer your best advice.

Cheers!

Standard bin & Aerovac bin uses same motor & impeller size, they also draw same current from Roomba.
So we're really just talking about different airflow design & target zone.

Standard bin = vacuum pointed to ground = can suck out wood flakes from gap between very old parquet
Aerovac bin = vacuum pointed at Roomba bristle brush = can suck hair & fur away from bristle brush

So "effective" is a subjective word, cos depends on ur angle of approach... ... ... literally.

If u like Mods, u can read these
Mod bin v1 by me: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/54152408-post7762.html
Mod bin further by Kimsim: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/54885982-post7956.html

Scooba will vacuum water from floor, but it also sprays clean water when moving around. Laminate is too sensitive to water, typical places where laminate pops up are outside bathroom & under aircon.

For enzyme, u can read this: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/56662651-post8149.html

Just purchased a new roomba 560 from Amazon.

Unfortunately, it is now unable to turn on or charge after it's maiden run in my house.

Yes, my mom accidentally poured water over it. :o

Already dismantle the set to dry for two days, tried "Dock" & "Spot" to reset it but no response from it.

Any kind souls have any idea what can be done?

Hi all,
I just purchased a new roomba and scooba from UNO after reading about 50 pages of posts. If you are reading and wondering who the buy from, I highly recommend UNO service to you. My wife and I are amazed by his passion and knowledge from his demo and explanation to us. I had never met anyone who loved his products so much. The best thing is everytime I had a qns about the robots. He is just one text away. The after sale service is great. I seldom post in the forum. Decided to do it this time cos was touched by the experience. Cheers!

Anyone ever bought replacement Scooba 330 battery in US?
Any good online merchant to recommend?

Btw, was checking amazon.com - why is it that some merchants claim that their batt work for 5900 and 330, while another will state that it will work for 5900 but not for 300 series. I believe the dimensions and contacts are exactly the same, likewise for the voltage.

E.g. This one specifically says not compatible with 300 series:
Amazon.com: Replacement Battery for iRobot Scooba 5900 5800 APS 3500mAH: Home & Garden
