From a user perspective, I would say no, using Roomba since 2007 and it has never really left the dock when it's not out on the call of duty. :) I am averaging about 1.5yrs per batt chg and I belong to the category where batt life is less than 30min, I will chg! :)

Indeed an OEM, and things about OEM is that they can be called any brand, as & when the retailer chooses.

I shall call this OEM "Para-Beat" cos it's like Paranello & Funbeat mixed together.

Long ago I had a Creative Digicam, then later at Shopping Mall, I saw an exact replica but the logo is Akira. That's when I realized what OEM means...

Ah I see. Would you all recommend this? Looks cool with the vacuum and mop function. Yes no??

For the ridiculously low price, even I'm tempted... despite already having umpteen robots.
Considering this mimics closely to Roomba 500 series, with the counter rotating brushes, it should clean pretty well.
But I can't comment about the movement & situation handling, ie. can it free itself from tricky real-life obstacles.

My 1st OEM vacuum robot V-bot came as a great helper before I had any robots, but it's still generally a dumb robot.
Then I had Roomba 400 series, and it was paradigm shift.
Then I had Roomba 500 series, even more improvements.

So perhaps for starters (note I'm not using Tight Budget to describe), this Para-bot whatever can try.

One word of advise when using the iRobot Scooba... if you have a dog, make sure he is locked up in the cage when you program the iRobot...

My friend just experienced this... Her house is carpeted and she has a dog.. while she was out, the dog pooped on the carpet... and the irobot was vacuuming........ you can imagine the mess she saw when she got back home.... and yeah, you can trace the path of the irobot and it does cover all the area in the house :s13:

I thought most dog are well trained, why would they poop on carpets? :p

The dog on the video Uno shows is a well trained one but still........Sh!t Happens!!!
