Just received my Roboking from Vachel yesterday 14/5. Would recommend people who are interested to get the Roboking from him. He provide a one year warranty by his own for the Roboking even though it does not have local warranty.

Message him on thursday to express my interest and around evening time he called back and answer my queries and make an appointment for the delivery date and time. Very fast response time.

He will come to your house and show you how to use the product cause the manual is in korean. During the demo period, which is like a short span of 3 minutes, i am amaze by the amount of dust and hair it has collected. I cant really compare it with other products, as this is my first robovac. But i must say i am truly impress by the Roboking so far.

Will try to post some pic of the roboking in action and the amount of dust it has collected. Will truly recommend Vachel for those who wants to get Roboking. At least you have a peace of mind with cash on delivery

Hi, Glad that you liked the Roboking and our service, am more looking forward to see more pics and videos if you are keen on sharing than any advertising for me. Just a correction the warranty provided is local in sg.

Do try out the function whereby the Roboking is able to return to clean an area after you have left it. As in if you are standing on a spot while it was cleaning, obstructing or preventing it from cleaning an area, it would return to clean it after its done with the rest of the house. Amazing!!

Would the robot goes back to every piece of obstruction to reclean thinking that maybe that chair or stand fan would be moved away after I clean the master bedroom?

Yes, I seem to have read somewhere saying this, but I can't remember if it was referring to Neato or Roboking.

Neato laser scan would probably reach out abt 5 m by 5 m, so any moved chairs or human leg would be seen within its viewing range.
Roboking has celing camera & floor optical mouse like red beam, so how does it even know things in front has shifted. Unless it has a front facing camera & uses frame comparison, much like those digicam that can double as a motion detector.

Roboking has celing camera & floor optical mouse like red beam, so how does it even know things in front has shifted. Unless it has a front facing camera & uses frame comparison, much like those digicam that can double as a motion detector.

I believe its the Roboking, it does return to clean specifically areas that have been previously occupied during cleaning attempts and not at random.
The Roboking navigates by performing SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) to build a map of its environment. It has a Remembered path feature too.

Hope this video can explain how it does that. (Same SLAM Navigation used in roboking)

Notice in the video that using SLAM navigation, the robot marks white spots on areas it missed out during cleaning, the Robot recognizes it as a spot missed in its path of cleaning and remembers it. Any area that is deemed in complete, it would mark it as yellow in its memory and return to specifically cover it again, ensuring complete green sectors, only when complete green sectors are achieve, would it return to its docking. Hope this does explain some of the queries.

The neato is only able to suspend cleaning when its battery is low and return to charge and continue to clean and would only return to clean any unfinished area. The Roboking does that too.
The Newer 2012 614X ($799) models can now detect thin chair legs etc down to 1cm wide and has a better HEPA filter too.

The Design of the 614X is also different in that it comes with rubber buttons pad and a metallic silver surface, sort of an improvement as I felt the 617X when used, tends to leave some prints. Anyway, the older models we used to carry are sold out. Now only got the 2012 models, same Price ($799) anyway, so must as well get newer one.

Ya. Basically just a change of design or improvement of software. The specifications like sensors and Bin/HEPA Filter/Sponge design all remains the same. Remote functions the same. Anyway, the older 2011 617X model is gradually being replaced by the 2012 614X model.

APS = Advanced Power System.
Frankly it doesn't mean much and iRobot use it to classify all their NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) ever since they transited from NiCD (Nickel Cadmium) long long ago for 1st gen Roomba.

But APS charger does imply different design for better efficiency charging. Long long ago for 1st gen Roomba charger, some are slow chargers that cannot be called APS.

Haha, it is not true, it DOES NOT go back to clean the specifically areas that had been previously occupied during cleaning attempts, it will mark it as a permanent occupied object/area.

Jubooo, u r right in your judgment, it does not make sense that the Roboking knows whether it is temporarily or permanent object, the true is, it does not.
