Overall I'm satisfied with the results (But I might get a Roboking further down the road to vacuum plus wet wipe the place before using the Scooba)... The Scooba did surprise me when it did managed to get into both rooms (Although it did get stuck twice in my Master Bedroom due to cables, no fault of the Scooba. I've cleared this so that it wouldn't have any problems the next time I use it)...

I bought this from Vachel and the demo was done, I know how it works in the first place, questions I asked was answered and issues that I had with the Scooba was informed to me and proved to be correct (Vachel made good his product & proved to me that it works)... The Scooba can and will go to both rooms, cleaned up the entire area of 02 rooms and living room...

I would recommend for people interested to buy this from Vachel although you need to give him advance notice... I tried getting a demo on Friday evening (It was around 1500 on Friday itself) but he couldn't make it... Tried to reschedule on Saturday he said couldn't make it the whole day... At the end managed to schedule on Saturday morning at around 0900 but he came slightly after 0930...

Overall I can say I'm satisfied with the service and the product knowledge he has... Price is a special price provided to HWZ members... Please PM him directly for price...

Glad you are liking your Scooba, Sorry we could not make it on the same day on Friday and are pretty packed over the weekend due to arrival of a new shipment from Korea. Had to try to clear the back-orders. Many thanks for the recommendation, am sure all local sellers likewise would do their utmost to ensure good customer service and satisfaction.

I started using a Roomba 550 about a month ago and it started to have screeching sounds while cleaning within 2 weeks of using. We cleaned out the brushes, wheels and even unscrewed it to clean inside. Still screeching occasionally while cleaning. Anyone know what to do?

Hi, I am new here, but have been checking on this thread regularly for the past few months. It was from here that I decided to buy a Scooba and LG Roboking. Bought both of them in May this year from Robovac and Autovacstore respectively. Coincidentally, both of them stopped working 1 after another recently.

My experience with Robovac has been superb. When my Scooba died on me couple of weeks ago, I SMS Thomas from Robovac. His reply was prompt and he diagnosed the problem to be faulty battery. He offered to exchange a new battery FOC, without me asking. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with his service. Got my new battery and now my Scooba is up and running again. I must say Thomas from Robovac is awesome, I will not hesitate to buy from him again when I need a new Scooba. I must qualify that I do not know Thomas personally, but I felt that such good service ought to be made known to others.

My experience with Autovacstore so far has been rather different. My roboking stopped working 3 days ago, so I email Autovacstore for advise. So far still waiting for reply. My roboking has been indispensable, so 3 days without it has been hard on me as now I am the stand-in robot. Still anxiously waiting for Autovacstore to help.

if u have not chucked the faulty Scooba battery into bin, I can repair it for $30. Once repaired, will be as strong as before the fault.
Alternatively can just sell me the faulty battery for $30.

Scooba is designed to automatically bounce away from rug/carpet.
However, if ur carpet is too thin along the edges, Scooba bumper might get slightly stuck if it manages to overshoot by 1-2 cm, Scooba will not be able to completely climb onto carpet though, so no risk of it wetting the carpet.

Technician from Autovacstore just replaced the wheels on my roboking, and its up and running now. Very friendly guy and good service. Thanks to Autovacstore, now I can be relieved of my robot duty. As someone said earlier, withdrawal syndrome is a very apt description. Few days without my robot felt very long, therefore really appreciate the prompt responses and services by Robovac and Autovacstore, thanks guys.

*Uno, I doubt you did be interested in the replacement Scooba battery even if it fails as its an OEM/compatible one, perhaps seller made a mistake. We have lots of original ones with these symptoms, $30 is a good price! Anyway, we give a Brand new Original replacement battery during the warranty for Scooba Battery Failure.

Battery KO got 2 types:
(a) simply can't hold charge due to aging or intensive usage, very little can be done for intensive usage, but aging from sitting on shelf, sometimes still got hope.
(b) giving Charging Error despite battery is still quite new (for ur case it's original & ~4+ mths old). This means battery is healthy but the thermal sensor inside is faulty. Replacing thermal sensor solves everything, although to crack open a Scooba battery is no child's play.

I'm using a computerized charger that can charge battery totally independent of iRobot charger, so ur faulty original battery is still useful to me cos I can use my computerized charger.

If ur replacement non-original battery KO, I'm less interested in it cos I simply don't trust non-original Scooba batteries. The cells used for production very often deteriorate very fast compared to originals.

btw they really 'mop' the floor or just sweep? is it effective for oily kitchen floors? kinda interested on the robotking but robotking is not under iRobot right? or is it?

last qn, between my living room & kitchen there's a bump/kerb, that means i have to manually move the robot to kitchen/living room once done?

For mopping you will need the Scooba... This is the irobot that scrubs the floor and it works great... I'm actually using it in my kitchen now...

The roboking only vacuums... To me the LG Roboking is one of the best in the market now...

To me the LG Roboking vacuums the best in terms of coverage and to me it's the most intelligent...

The Scooba can vacuum and mop... But in terms of cleaning up debris on the floor it does only a fairly good job (Not 100%) although it's not super clean... But because it scrubs the floor as well it cleans the floor very well... Only gripe is it does not clean the floor 100%... But seriously it cleans at least 90%+ of my floor...

The irobots clean in a very random manner so to me the LG Roboking is a better choice (The Roboking cleans in a very systematic manner) if you just want only the vacuum function... But because I wanted a robovac that mops the floor I got the Scooba 380... But right now I still need to sort of clean the floor before I use my Scooba (I pick up hair etc off the floor before I run the Scooba)... The Scooba will have hair stuck in the brushes (I clean all the brushes after each session)... Although it's not really a lot of trouble but I admit I'm lazy... Hahaha...
