I have laminated flooring, so Scooba is OK with the washing /scrubbing ? Does it vaccum as well ? or do I have to buy both Roomba for vaccum and Scooba was washing ?

iRobot specifically said Scooba not suitable for laminate. Laminate is too sensitive to moisture, might warp.
Scooba is generally quite dry, but wear & tear can result in excessive wetness. Certain faults can lead to inability to suck back water & all water left on ur laminate will be disastrous.

Roomba is dry vacuum sweeper, so no risk of damage to laminate.

Scooba does have a prep vacuum stage where it'll pickup loose debris. If you can tolerate the amount of dust and debris in between using scooba, by all means. If not a roomba is very good for daily upkeeping as it can pickup a bunch of dust everyday. Scooba will compliment it as the floor really feel fresh after running through with water.

Scooba is actually not really recommended for all laminated flooring. It is stated in the manufacturer's guide. Anyway pretty sure you can arrange for a demonstration of the Scooba on your flooring to see if the wetness is suitable.
For a safer bet, May want to consider some models which have a wet wipe function and vacuums at the same time. The iclebo arte ($749) and latest Lg Roboking square 6260 ($858). can do that.
The new LG Roboking allows for an attachment of a large microfiber cloth for wet wiping. Although is it not the same as the washing of the Scooba. But if the Scooba is deemed too wet for your liking. This may be of consideration too. You may use the Wet wipe function for only selected areas like the kitchen. It navigates systematically too and its square design covers all areas comprehensively. You can place it in your kitchen, start it up and enclose it there. Once its done, it would return to the same spot and angle you place it. Thanks for your PM, would do our utmost to assist.

From what I read the Microfiber cloth comes with the 6260...

Hi, comes with 2 washable microfiber cloth, can be washed and used repeatedly, would probably a year. Using any microfiber cloth is ok, provided the side fits or is made to fit as the original. it attaches to detachable Cloth holder mold with Velcro design. Many thanks for the interest.

Hi, The LG Roboking VR6270LVM (red, $988) has a function which allows it to activate its "turbo mode" automatically when it cleans carpets and rugs. The LG Roboking VR6260LVM (black, $858) has a turbo mode too which can be activated manual with a click of a button. Had bought the scooba 380 from them as well... but i couldn't say the same for it... i am rather disappointed... although Vincent from autovac did a demonstration and that my unit was working when he delivered it... I couldn't get it to work the next day... The 380 was not sucking in the water and the dirty tank was completely dry... luckily i didn't let it run unattended the first time... else i would have flooded my area... I contacted Vincent and asked him for troubleshooting methods... he suggested putting in more Magic Clean solution and try to flush the inlet to clear any chokage... Tried once it wasn't working... and Vincent assured me they would change for me on the spot if really faulty when they come to check... The next day i try flushing it with higher pressure of water... and it worked this time... the 380 is able to suck in the dirty water now... I am not sure if it was a user problem or is the machine prone to chokage(despite only used it once for demo, i will continue to monitor it)?

Now for the performance... i will say i am disappointed... Firstly the 380 is too wet for my liking... after the clean water tank is empty and it goes into the drying mode... it did not cover the whole area even though it is just a small square room... you can see the random water trail the 380 had run thru... Next i tried it on my homogeneous tiles... it performed even more poorly... the 380 rubber blade beneath seems have a lot of fiction with the floor and it cannot travel smoothly throughout... i think becoz of this... it is unable to navigate properly thus cozing it to dry the area poorly... I can see watermark everywhere... i am unsure if this is normal... will try a few more times to see izzit becoz my tiles are new and thus so much friction...

Perhaps all these are normal? Can other scooba 380 users comment on this?

Do understand your problem with the Scooba, with it being too wet. The scooba is not prone to chokage. I believe its sucking the water back to the dirty tank, just that the floor may still be a little too wet for your liking.
A way you can better utilize it would be to not fill the tank to full, perhaps only 1/2 full, confine it to a smaller area to clean, thus when the clean tank is empty, in its drying mode, would cover the cleaned/wet area more comprehensively.
Rest assured, as promised we would replace the set with a brand new unit if its faulty and we would do our utmost to assist you.
If it is not too your liking, please contact us, would gladly offer another Robot that suits your needs. The worst thing would be to live with a Robot that does not suit your needs, and we would hate to see that too.

I actually read from forums that you might need to "condition" the brushes... When it's new the bristles are kinda hard so free using it a few times it will be more seasoned and perform better...

When I first used my Scooba 380 the floor was also wet but after using it a few times now the floor is much drier now...

I am a 340 user not a 380 and I do have this problem from time to time. Hate it when it leave a watermark, I am assuming you are having glossy homogenous tiles that why it is visible. I suggest u run in for a mth or so and contact your seller if you are still not happy with it.

I have to say the flip side of the Scooba problems about wetness and watermark is that I am having a really clean floor after each wash, compared to manual mopping.

iRobot say safe on "sealed hardwood", sealed means got protective coating, hardwood means real wood, not things like Chip Board or laminate.
