I intend to get a scooba but I m worried if it will damage my marble flooring and old parquet wood. By the wetness, is it equivalent to a mopped floor or much worse than that? Will the scooba scratch the floor it cleans? My old parquet wood has small gaps as it is already 10+ years. I m still mopping it with water and m ok with it. Does the scooba leave a much wetter floor and cause damage?
Thanks.
Q1. I intend to get a scooba but I m worried if it will damage my marble flooring and old parquet wood.
A1. Won't damage or scratch marble, but will polish until very shiny.
Q2. By the wetness, is it equivalent to a mopped floor or much worse than that?
A2. Dryer than normal Mop & Pail, wetter than moist micro fibre cloth (eg. 3M Scotch Brite cloth mop)
Q3. Will the scooba scratch the floor it cleans?
A3. No, there are no hard parts that scrape floor. Only rubber parts in contact with floor.
Q4. My old parquet wood has small gaps as it is already 10+ years. I m still mopping it with water and m ok with it.

A4. If u're using Mop & Pail, then Scooba is fine. My parquet is also 10 yrs, and I can definitely say there are visible gaps, I've been using Scooba for 4+ yrs. Much better than say a Steam Mop which can ruin parquet if stay at one spot too long (I did before).
Parquet is real wood, generally water tolerant cos they're coated with Polyurethane (which Steam Mop breaks down). The gaps if exposed will get some moisture, but insignificant & shouldn't discolour the wood.
Just bear in mind, Scooba only sprays thin layer of water & will immediately suck up the dirty water.
If I use Mop & Pail, I also need to really squeeze dry the mop head, else it'll be dripping wet.
Only Spin Mop is considered very dry (depends how long u spin it). I got authentic Spin Mop, but not very clean, cos it lacks the rubbing action from an old fashion mop with heavier fibre strands.
3M Scotch Brite cloth mop is reasonably clean, but u need to remove the cloth & rinse under tap non-stop.
