Any contacts for the local Dist for the battery? I'm using a roomba red and the Vpost refuse to ship the battery i ordered from amazon

I bought the roomba from gk recently...you can try gkrobots.com. For you to compare price. Or what other said, buy from amazon or ship from USA. I t hink the last option is cheaper but shipping of batt will be an issue. You try lah...

For the Scooba, NO. For the Roomba, it depends on whether u purchased a home base for it. If u have the home base, yes it'll go back home automatically to recharge. If u have a scheduler remote, u can even program it to come out and do the cleaning automatically.

hmm.. ok so does the recharging capability work out of the box or will there be added cost to buy the home base and scheduler remote?

All Roombas and Scoobas come with the charging unit. The home base is only applicable to the Roomba and is used for the Roomba to dock when it senses that it is time to recharge. You don't need the home base to charge the Roomba.

The scheduler is needed to program the Roomba to operate on a set day and time. It is again not necessary and not all models support this function. Most newer models of Roomba do support this capability.

Recharging capability (auto) is there as long as u have a home base for ANY Roomba model. Else, u just manually connect the charger to the Roomba whenever u need to recharge. Some models comes with a home base, some dont, just like the scheduler remote. Put it simply, consider what u need and buy the necessary. Alternatively, get a basic model and add on the accessories later if u r not sure.

My friend tried scooba with kiwi kleen solution last night. He said after cleaning for awhile, it left a big pool of water on the floor and the scooba drag on it. Eventually it wet the whole place. Anybody here used kiwi kleen has such issues?

Dont have the exact singpost pricing but an online estimate by small parcel should be around S$35 to US. As I've mentioned, my first batch of batteries are all ok. The run time is as long as when i first got my Roomba. These are new batteries, manufactured in 2007.

Ronnie, do you have issue with kiwi kleen? It was quite bad, according to my friend. The water sips thru the laminated flooring and it warps a little.

I've gotten a roomba scheduler from gkrobots. Their service is really impressive, very knowledgable. I actually took up their 3day trail demo and was totally impressed with it. Immediately placed an order on the 2nd day of demo. Now i'm a proud owner of Roomba, it's definitely good. I've a jack rusell at home and trust me, this roomba really cleans well and thorough. I was shocked at the amount of dirt/fur/rubbish it suck up.

Tell that to the skeptics!!! Once u have used a Roomba, u can't do without it... the chore of manual vacuuming / sweeping... argh!

I agree with you...roomba is good, it is hard to convince one to buy unless you try it. I think gk did a good job by letting ppl trial it. I also bought from them after the trail...Roomba would be even better if it can clear the dustbin by itself haha.

scooba is good too but the solution is an issue to me. I bought two bottles from gk...but it is ex. My friend used kiwi kleen and hit the wall. Wonder why the scooba so sensitive to solution...

for scooba 5800, we could either use clorox or else just use plain water will do. 5900, can only use clorox or vinegar, as advised by gkrobots
