What is the SUCTION POWER of a roomba? Can't find it in the iRobot homepage. Is it in the manuals?

If u must buy the 535 from HSN and vConcierge dont work, why not approach the more reputable Roomba review users for assistance. If u ask nicely, maybe u can get someonre to purchase it on yr behalf snd use yr Vpost shipping address for shipping.

Hi, all. I have been following this thread since it started. Right now, I have my hearts set on the new roomba 535 which is available on HSN. Any advise on how to ship to SG?

I entered my request thru vConcierge yesterday and received a rejection today. Reason of rejection: Merchant do not accept orders being placed outside USA. Any kind souls can advise on how can I ship this roomba back to SG?

Would also kindly appreciate any feedback or comments on the roomba 535. Thanks in advance

I guess you need to buy 2 transformers.

a 100w newstar 100v to 220v converter cost abt $24+ at home-fix, Sim Lim tower maybe slightly cheaper.

There's a 13% discount code for vpost now, will post the code when I reached home tonight.

I went to Homefix yesterday night and I bought the Newstar 80w converter as that was the only one available there...

Or do I have to get the 100w one?

They have another brand, Powerpac (I think) which comes shaped like a power supply but even though it has 2 plugs, only one is 220v to 110v

I went to the Great World outlet...

They had more PowerPac convertors...only a few Newstar ones...60w and 80w only

I paid $21 for the 80w one....

Before I recently modded the charger, I've been using the Newstar 80w for my Roomba fast charger for a couple of years. No issues.

Although the Scooba charger has a higher power rating than the Roomba (33w -> 45w), I'd guess it's within specs.

I guess it should be ok.

I got mine from SLT 2nd floor which was mentioned earlier.

1. Newstar 100W - $20 - for my roomba
2. Newstar 200W - $30 (around tat) - for my scooba (thot more power can share other overseas equipment which i intend to buy fr amazon but seems overkill for now).

In the midst of all the transformer discussions, suggestion that u also purchase a surge protector for the Roomba/Scooba as an additional precaution. If the power supply / Roomba is fried during a surge / lightning, it can be a costly affair, especially if u've gotten yrs from overseas!

roomba 416 does not have any remote control or docking station, cost $199.99.
If you want to get older models, I suggest you wait for another woot.com offer again. Roomba Discovery has self-charging docking station and remote control at US$149.99.

roomba 5xx may have the rattling noise as mentioned by those at roombareview. Not sure has it been solved now.

lifetime warranty only in USA.

you need to send back to USA for repairs which is not cheap.

As i've mentioned in previous msgs, get yrself a bigger transformer to power BOTH Roomba and Scooba... just get an additional 2/3 way adapter.. that way u save $$$ and space instead of having 2 or 3 step down transformers.

can confirm that the step down transfomer simply steps down the voltage from 220->110? I'm thinking of ordering a 5xx roomba from USA thru a friend, any new voltages or transformer size I need to consider or will the Newstar 100W / Super 120W work as well?

@thewiseone do u leave yr transformer/charger on 24h?
