U migrated to Sabah?? Eh... u must be staying in a landed property?? Think u need an army of bots, arm yrself with dirtdogs, roombas and scoobas! :)

Back to yr battery, try the 72hrs reconditioning charge. IF it doesnt bring yr batt back to life, i'm afraid u'll need a new batt. Alternatively, if u can find an external charger for it, it may do a better job.

haha.. roomba n scooba need to work much harder, got upstairs and downstairs to clean, but might leave them to clean only on floor, manual for ground floor, not very roomba friendly yet. lots of plcs to get stuck at the moment :p

I sure hope the batt is still ok, if not gotta import it again, damn troublesome to import things through malaysian customs :s27: will give the robots a run on sunday, wish me luck guys

Hi! mariatan,

I am a new iRobot Roomba user and so far, I am satisifed with its performance. Before I decided to get a Robotics floor vac, I did some homework and my network scouting narrows down to Electrolux Trobolite and iRobot. There are a huge price difference between these 2 brands and I am afraid my investment will go down the drain if it turns out that the Trilly does not justify its hefty price tag. U seem to be a satisfied user of Trilly except the maintenance and its snail-paced speed. May I know its sound level in comparison to a domestic vac cleaner or an iRobot? The Roomba I am using is pretty noisy and quite stress out when conversation is met around the house while it's running, therefore, I usually make it work while I am out for an errand. May I know do u by any chance that u would like to sell yr used Trilly? I am very keen to purchase a used set cos I like its color and posh design. The local Electrolux quoted me at $2400 after 20% discount which I am thinking VERY HARD. Well? Let me know by email kidz_buzz@yahoo.com if by any chance u wanna sell yr Trilly. Tks.

:o ever consider a scooba? since water can already drown all fleas.

any similar vpost type of service in sabah?

well there is a saying here.. "Sabah the land below the wind" thats for tourist, but for local we say "Sabah the land below the rubbish" =:p air is only cleaner up in the mountains :s22:

haven't heard of any vpost service to sabah, i hope there is something similar though, but again, custom's is a pain over here..

How big is yr cleaning area? Is it all hard flooring or carpeted? Essentially, if u r looking only at Roombas and u have a typical 5rm sized flat with hard flooring, the 416 is good enough to do the job. The 400 series are all similar, except for the accessories included. You might like to consider adding a homebase so that the Roomba can dock on its on (for recharging) once the cleaning is done.

Want to share with me so that can save on shipping? I am thinking of getting the 380 that comes free with the Roomba 400. Can sell it to you....iRobot selling the 400 at USD119. Unless you want to add the docking station. Let me know or I will just go ahead and get the 350 instead....

Danko,
Have u considered getting from HSN,think they are offering their 335 at 219 bucks, u could then order an extra high powered blue battery, that way, it works out to almost having one 380, but u pay only around 300us altogether.Saw one post on roomba review today that some lucky fella got a 340 which cover 850 sq ft, do check it out.

:o do note if using vpost, they will reject sending the extra battery back to sg.

some guys bought extra christmas gifts, then let go @ ebay.

I lost the first one, coz he put USD199, refuse to reduce pirce, I wanted USD170 to offset the vpost freight mah. then yesterday got another guy selling, so I put USD199 maximum bid, in the end didn't expect to win below USD170 :D

save my trouble for the HSN thingy also.

why they dun ship battery? scared it would explode?

It seems that it is a custom restiction. Interestingly...if you ship with the device then it is ok...but not too long ago..I did call up the agency and was told that it is OK to ship MH batt...wonde why Vpost still will reject...
