Choi! Wanna test? You be the volunteer. But, definitely not dust free! :s13:

Well, to assure you and me: AIDS virus can't survive in the air and it only transmits thru fluid containmination. Else, you shake hand with an AIDS carrier you will kena AIDS, you breath in the air (eg. in a train, concert, etc) you will kena too.

but how would you know if there is fluid FREE?!

just be careful when you clean the toy :D

I've been using Magic Clean for over a year also no issues. However, they replaced the original Magic Clean with a new Quick Dry formula which my mom was almost swearing after using it. Had to pour a whole lot more plus its not as effective. With my Scooba so coincidentally dead after using a few cycles of it... suggest that others stay away from it. Guess i'll switch to Kiwi Kleen if i cant find any more of the older Magic Cleans around. BTW, which Kiwi Kleen are u using... the light blue one that looks like the original Magic Clean? The one that smells a little like Dettol / Jeypine?

Lucky i stick with kiwi kleen. After 1yr, no problem. touch woodie.. :o

Ok, i shall wear rubber gloves and surgical mask. Will N95 do? :s13:

Read this:

Question - Does the aids virus die once it is airborne? Obviously it can be transmitted via the exchnage of bodily fluids but, if the infected persons fluids are exposed to air outside the body, does the virus survive?

HIV, the virus responsible for AIDS, is an enveloped virus. That means it's
surrounded by a lipid membrane. In other words, it's wearing a coat of the
same material that surrounds living cells. That's sturdy enough inside a
body, but not outside in the rest of the world. If the virus should be
coughed into the air, or spilled onto a surface like a toilet seat, it would
not survive long enough to infect anybody.

The HIV virus is actually quite fragile and can't live long at all outside a host white blood cell. It is easily disinfected and doesn't live on inanimate objects and can't be carried by the air. The only way to get HIV is for an infected white blood cell from one host to be directly deposited into the bloodstream of another host.

Hmmm... i tink i shld be quite safe. :s7:

Free shipping only within CONUS... IMO, not quite worth it. A brand new 340 from HSN after discount is only US$216, believe another $3+ for shipping within CONUS. In any case, i've already got 2 340s on their way back.

Thanks!

Hi wiseone,

How do you get the discount and how to get past the billing address? I followed mosmos instructions, still kanna rejected....

Last time i left my scooba n roomba unused for 2 weeks, the battery become spoilt, very hard to hold a charge. Now end up have to use new batteries after only 1 year :(

So.. hope detached your batteries from ur robots to preserve their life :)

I think the biggest problem we face is the battery. Really hope somebody in SG can come up with a cheap and good battery for <SGD70! :o Not possible? Add a few dollars more. ;)

Has anyone researched how much it would cost to build a battery in SG? How much would batteries cost in Sim Lim? I think so far most of us buy from the US rite?

On the subject of batteries (based on my experience), to get the best mileage from Scooba/Roomba batteries, lithium ions are the way to go. However, even for lithium ions, avoid stressing them in each run/cycle. Eg. For Scooba, instead of running 2 cycles on 1 battery, try running 1 cycle instead. U'll find that the batteries will last a lot longer. Alternatively, go for higher capacity lithium ions to avoid high/full depletion during each run.

Thats what I thought too, I left mine connected and charging and didn't use it, but also start to die. That happen for me and i dunno coincidence or not but both my scooba n roomba barely hold a charge after that.

The only difference with me and you is that.. few months before i did this, i heavily discharged both batteries (left battery in robot without charging for 4 weeks). I manage to recover it using various methods and works fine when I keep using it every few days. But then when I left it charging unused for few weeks and wanted to use it.. the battery become very dead :(

Since i got the new batteries, now using it at least once every 2 days.

Batteries aren't cheap.. Better be safe than sorry right? This is just from my experience.. so i want the batteries to at least last for 2yrs
