comgateway delivered my hsn.com scooba 340 yesterday, was by DHL. :s22:

But when I opened the box, i saw the battery was light blue which was non-APS. So further checked scooba inside barcode label model was 335. :(

Email hsn yesterday night and they replied me within 2-3hrs. Gave me 2 option, return for refund or usd$20 discount. :s22:

So I choose option 2, now my scooba cost only $179.96 now.

nowadays scooba don't include any pump?

Ha. Same set as the 1 I got from Woot. I guess i got same price or around that and it is NEW set. It also came with white battery and no pump. But the colour is not dark blue but lighter blue like the mat. It is still new in the box as I hv another 5800 and 380 runnings well. Luckily my 380 still working well. Bought about same time as your defunct 380. :o

Battery solution

Thanks Wiseone and Mosmos :)
I hope it revives after the 72hr reconditioning. It was stressful when it worked only 5min, the Other Half was reprimanding me for buying products with known battery and other issues... *sigh*

If you have used the scooba for about a year it can be due to the battery life.

What you can do is log a service ticket with irobot about the issue. Tell them you bought the product for less than a year and they will send you a battery. Register an account with Borderlinx for a US postal address so that you can ship back the battery. Don't bother to use vpost since they do not ship loose battery.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, my 5800 Scooba with BLUE battery, is less than a month old, used a few times only, each time 30mins max. Once only 5 min (when I disconnected after full-charge and used it few days later).

I PMed Glo69 at the other forum regarding buying 3rd party battery, but no response yet.

The blue battery comes in 2 capacities... a single cycle and a 2 cycle rated at 4100mAh. Look at the label on the back of your battery... somewhere near the bottom left corner, do u see 4100mAh? If not, u may only have a single cycle battery which is probably only good for 45 to 50 mins of runtime in optimum condition.

For Scooba Li-Ion replacement, i would recommend u contact Vic7767 instead as he has a higher capacity 4800mAh Li-Ion battery for Scooba. Only drawback, he only ships CONUS. If u have a Bordlerlinx account or something similar, it shouldnt be an issue.

Thanks so much for all that info, really helpful! :)

Just checked mine says 3000mAh!
I will get a Borderlinx acct first before buying 4800mAh from Vic7767... it does sound more sensible to get a new batt, my Clean water tank has still some water by the time mine dies. Very frustrating to do my home tiny segment by segment.

My 380 and batt from vic can cover: 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 masterbedroom.
My 5800 can cover: living room, 1 bedroom.

The other bedroom i dont use cos got rottan mat. :D

Only problem is need to add water in betwn. :o But there is no other way unless use a huge huge batt and drag a water tank alone...

If u dont like to do yr house segment by segment, u need the faster Scooba, i.e. Scooba 340/380/6050. These models are able to cover more areas in the same time. Previously with my older Scooba 350, i need to run 2 cycles to cover the areas i need to clean. In addition, each cycle only lasted around 45+ mins or so. With my current 340 from HSN, i only need 1 cycle to cover the same areas, not to mention my current 1 cycle lasts at least 75mins!

How much would the battery (incl shipping) from Vic cost? Looks like it's a must-buy for a scooba 380 owner..?

Anyone got the sensor on top of the 4xxx series roomba spare parts to sell? My roomba doesn't dock into home base and respond to remote control anymore. :(

I have a Scooba bought from HSN.com which is not working now, but is still under warranty.
Anybody know how do I go about sending it back to US Irobot for replacement?

Anyone ever sent out for replacement before?
Able to use Singpost? Will it be a give away that the product was used outside US and have warranty void?
Roughly how much will it cost if I use other international shipper?
