Just bought a convertor which converts 220V to 120V. crossing my fingers that it works...

She doesnt appear to know what she's talking abt. There is an acceptable voltage tolerance in AC supply and unless your Newstar convertor is damaged or under sized, it should work just fine.

Hi all,

Spoke to a nice lady at Homefix and was told that the Newstar convertor cannot work with the irobot charger. My charger states input 120VAC, 33W, 0.6A & output 22VDC 1.25A and the newstar convertor is only 220v to 110v. Electrical applications was my worse subject during poly so i'll believe her.

Is there anywhere i can buy a convertor for 240v to 120v? Or what will i need to charge the robot (assuming the earlier charges using the newstar convertor hasn't spoil anything yet)

Anywhere in Singapore have something like this, the homefix branch i went didn't have it then. Can someone who is better at electrical stuff confirm that 110v & 120v does make a difference, used to think it'll just take more time for the charging... Thanks.

Thanks bro. Can't complain too much, that's what I get for skipping too many classes...

Trying out a 72hour charge with the new convertor and if it doesn't work, left the battery/robot itself...

My roomba discovery 4210 finally uplorry.... seems like the main brush motor cannot spin anymore.

It has been with me since 2005. Cost of repairing may be up to $80.

Now I wondering if I should get the new 500 series roomba, or repair the roomba.

yes you can, but you still need to cclean or empty roomba bin every week.

Still can't get mine to work even with a new step-down transformer. Anyone can lend me their battery or charger? Or help me charge it? Trying to figure out if its battery or the APS charger spoil...

I got the NF-230 Newstar transformer for my scooba 380 & roomba 580.

Problem is that I can only charge one at a time. I was wondering if I could charge both simultaneously? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Has anyone done that before?

Whats the capacity rating for NF-230? Is it 230W? If it is, then it's more than enough to support both a Scooba and a Roomba together.
