..scoob

hey ALL...

just my experience with the bots...

red was good.. lasted long time .. about 2.5 years.. main prob at the end was battery..

discovery.. best thing.. returns to base.. worst thing .. same .. battery...

BEST EVER .... SCOOBA ....

especially so for locals in Sing... coz we really like our floors clean...

works well .. extremly clean.. I dont even use additional cleaning solution.. just tap water...

use every 3 days on the floors.. gotto move furniture about.. but its great coz I just let the bot go do its thing.. and I go out..

might be a little damp .. BUT only for a moment.. no more damp than if you mopped the floor...

find it noisy if I stay at home while its cleaning.. BUT.. really it is just like having the vacuum on.. same same..

... better than the red and discovery... coz those just vacuum.. not clean enough.. some more gotto deal with dust.. which I really dislike..

with the scooba.. just clean out the bot when it has finished.. dust will be in the water.. trapped.. wont go airborne.. NOT difficult..

BEST machine for the home ... EVER...

for anyone thinking of gettin a bot for the home... SCOOBA it...

........................ I got mine from http://hammerschlammer.com/

........................ then I went to sim lim tower to mod the charger.. the shop is CONTINENTAL ELECTRONIC ENT.. #B1-25.. look for MR. KHOO.... especially if the bot you got is new.. coz it is a different charger than the 1st scooba..

all the best...

I will prob get another... soon...

Agree w you! Sccoba is much much much better & effective than roomba. I hv 2 (380 & 5800) at work and 1 new set (5800) for standby & spare. Whenever i see a scooba comes out at woot, i v v v gian & tempted to woot.... Ha, perhaps i hv enough of 5800, will wait for new gen of scooba while my 3 loyal maids are serving me out! =:p

Scooba can only mop very limited spaces.... :(

Scooba can clean many places except corners due to its rounded shape. You muz let it runs multiple passes to clean thoroughly. Afterall, it is automatic right. juz go sleep & wake up to a clean floor.

Roman mop is gd & so is any mop. The onli problem is i hate to manually drag the mop everywhere & the recycling water used wont really clean that well.

Well, the best mop is still the mop that is hold in the hands of a maid! The next best alternative now is scooba. :o

If corners is not your liking, then scooba should do the trick. The best mop is actually those newly launched micro fibre mop through nano technologies. Very fast and easy to pick up literally anything......

Scooba is best used after roomba, if is going to be very very dirty...it can't pick up bigger dirt like Roomba.....

Yup. Best to hv both scooba & the nano micro fibre mop! Perhaps we can put the nano micro fibre cloth or sotong-chiu under the roomba & let it runs around! It sure pick up more dirt than the pitiful suction power & the combs. :D

Seems like u didnt read thru the pages yet. If you do, you wld hv know many places to buy:

1. locally - expensive (abt 2.5 to 3x more ex) but w warranty
2. woot - cheap but gotta wait for it to come up (chk everyday after 1pm for daily bargain)
3. irobot (USA) - more ex
4. Amazon - go take a look
5. HSN - sometime cheap but difficult to buy w SG credit card
6. Ebay - luck has to be on your side, as always
7. Perhaps the marketplace in HWZ :o

Hi guys,

just to check, do CONTINENTAL ELECTRONIC ENT at SLT or any other shop do mod for Roomba charger?

Any problem with the mod for guys who did it and how much do they charge for the mod?

Do they have different charger for different Roomba, mine a 560.

Thanks a lot!!

I'd like to know the same for my Scooba 350. Read that the charger is new and more difficult to mod.

Cheers
