I thought I would share my experience with eBay, Virtual Shipping, Sing Post and Irobot so here goes.
Well I had the same issue with water not being sucked up with my Scooba 380. I kanna the issue with Irobot not responding because I purchased it from eBay. I argued that I purchased it via eBay but the company was a Authorised distributor of Irobot products (which was really true). Anyway they took the hard stance but a week later another tech support replied. After a few emails, they sent me new rubber squeegess and the brush cover FOC. I used a US Shipping address so they didn't know I'm overseas. I shipped it back to me and it cost S$42, Anyway it solved the problem for 1 time. After which it didn't suck the water again. So if you are registering on Irobot don't get conned and check purchased from eBay button.
If you're read my original posts when I first bought it, the ebay company shipped it direct via Fedex. I actually purchased 2 Scooba 380's (1 for my friend).
The ebay company I bought it from, asked me to ship it back to them and then they will ship me a brand new one. I shipped it back a couple of weeks ago and they received it this week via Sing post (7kg = $$120). They have shipped a new one out to me via FedEx FOC which I will be receiving sometime next week. At the same time I ordered myself a Roomba 560 as I couldn't resist the price they offered me from them which they are shipping together FOC. So hopefully by monday I will receive both items (according to my tracking number). Note: all are brand new units!
For the amount of money I've saved from buying it direct from the US and even shipping it back a few times, it's still cheaper than buying it locally in my opinion!
Also there are so many pax that have done the same thing here and the forum has a lot of details to be able to do it yourself. Yes you can go to the local supplier and get it but you'll be paying more than double the price of purchasing it from the USA including all shipping charges! So if pax are really worried about breaking down etc. Buy 2 as it's the same price as 1 ;-)
