Hi Mosmos,

Thanks for your fast response. I read from the site that invoice is needed. So how do I ask my colleague to do it if I want to declare below S$400 so no need to pay tax.

Declare an amount of maximum US$200 for both if you pack together otherwise Borderlinx side will tax you and DHL will invoice you GST + $10 handling fee.

I would agree with bakasa that you ship individually with original box and you don't even need to declare the value. Borderlinx automatically declare it as US$150 when they see robot vacuum. If you ship seperately then you can choose to split the shipment into 2 to avoid tax as both combine value will be US$300.

Borderlinx got free insurance coverage by Citibank and CGW charges like 5%for compulsary insurance.

Another thing to add, if u were to ship fr costco/hsn/amazon to friend/colleague, then repack and then get your friend/colleague to ship to BL/CGW/VPost etc, u will paying shipping cost for this extra leg, so if it's not double boxed, it'll be really better to leave it as is. :)

ya!!! its not cheap to ship within US too. sometimes can be more expensive than doing 2 ways.

Ask yr friend to ship direct is the best

If SG roomba or scooba die, do they do a 1 to 1 replacement or they repair or what they actually do.

Forget about Vpost. It's snail mail and also take ages to response to your email. Borderlinx have 24hrs online chat which is fast and efficient. Citibank covers insurance for your items too and Vpost will say you got no insurance blah, blah blah. Search the web and you will see someone lost a US$400 item by Vpost and they refund him the shipping charges only.

What are you buying?
