Thanks.. Juboo, btw, issit a must to let the roomba charged 24/7? Will it affect the battery life if I dun do that?

Actually there's no hard or fast rule if you ask me. iRobot recommend it to keep charge 24/7. If electricity bill is what worries you, have no fear. You won't see any increase, infact I would say that roomba might even be cheaper to operate even on a daily basis. A conventional vacuum is rated about 1500w to 2000w easily. Running it once a week is even costlier than running roomba daily with just a <30w vacuum motor.

I suggest you leave it on 24/7. If not you might need to do the 16hrs refresh charge if u leave it uncharged for a few days. Personal usage opinion, electricity bill is negligible ....

My advise, stay away from alibaba especially if you see them selling iRobot. iRobot had a list of appointed distributors on their site. Any others are all scammers. If you don't believe, look for those MOQ 2 pieces one and pay them, you only lost US200-300 in that way ;)

Hi Jubooo,
oic. thanks for the warning to fellow forummers!

Just checking with u guys, whats the typical lifespan of your Scooba? Usage pattern?

scooba everyday use, after 1 year+, battery gone, tank leaking, tube chip off, wheels wearoff (keep getting stuck in corners)~ :(

My scooba after 1 year, vacuum port chip off but everything still works including battery with daily use.

I remember you mention to some forumers here that you can use any commercial floor cleaner and even mentioned Dettol. I guess that is why your tank starts to leak. I got customer who comes to me for a replacement tank as she also use Dettol to clean. The rubber seal valve inside the tank does not take harsh chemical solution.

Scooba just not so lasting. My 350 lasted only a year, ending with a loud rattling noise and pump failure. My 340 just RIPed, almost 2 years ending with a loud rattling noise and an impeller failure. My Roomba Scheduler over 3 years still kicking ... :s22: Operating based on running them daily.

tube/wheels can be replaced, battery can change (tip for longer lasting batteries: Do not use the battery for more than 1 cycle!). More importantly, the pump and impeller dont fail. Else...sigh...

I have been using for it daily for my kitchen and sometimes 2 cycles if I use it for my living room and the battery is still running fine.
