Sounds like a good deal.... whos going for Neato? Dont really need to buy 5 units... u dont save much by getting so many sets!!! Its the 20% off discount that makes the deal!
Thanks for the heads up!![]()
anyone wants to buy? Can i just hook onto ur order pls?
thks.. anyone knows how much is the shipping cost approximately?
Neato's boundary markers are magnetic strips which are laid across the floor. I believe magnetic strips purchasable from DIY shops will work too.Can Neato vacumn robot use Boundary Markers from other brands?

I already have conceptual design to make Roomba respond same way to magnetic strip, but it's low priority so never get down to it.
Coming back to Neato, since it was designed to be block by magnetic strips, it will not respond to Virtual Wall from any brand (yes... there are other non-iRobot brands that use virtual walls too).
iRobot virtual walls have frequency specifically tuned to the model, so sometimes they're interchangeable but not always.
I believe Neato didn't make virtual wall cos the laser would interfere.
DIY shops include Home Fix, Daiso & some neighbourhood ABC shops.Thanks. Didn't know DIY shops sell magnetic strips. Will go take a look.
Neato is eating up my child's shoes and the mat... Need to have some blocking.

Since the scanning laser turret is right on top, the area mapping is, as u say, above a certain height. Bumper sensor will handle low obstacles. We haven't empty neato's bin yet after 5 cycles...
Noticed neato do not run into my feet when I am standing in front of it. Maybe neato can scan certain height and turn away. But for short height like shoes and mats, it will run over them.
It knocks into door though. Neato is kind of loud...scare my child...![]()
Tekster is right that iRobot thread should talk iRobot things, but to be absolute, this thread is iRobot Scooba thread, and it has branched into Roomba 400 & 500 series thread long ago.i think neato or any other robotic vacuum users should start a seperate thread.
this is afterall an irobot thread le.
