iRobot Scooba experience

I'm still confused Everything should be the same. The scheduling and clock is all build into the mainboard. The ctrl panel basically only has cutout to allow the buttons to be seated in. The demo button is basically a software issue that trigger the process and no other buttons is needed as you're using the existing buttons.

Not sure about any red light as I had not pay attention to it.

I finally figure out what pcb you meant. I have a dozen of those small pcb buttons for the schedule and clock. The older board's screw hole is on top while the newer 561 had the holes on the bottom and that's why you couldn't use. You can actually use the same board and just force the D-connector in and it will work.

no stuck, fast moving and very low noise level.

I think the stuck is special case for Bakasa's 230, cos his bathroom has that mini cliff, I don't think 230 will get stuck on normal level floor.
My original Scooba sometimes get stuck when wall-following against my door magnet, which is mounted to floor & has a round sloping base. See photo, the 1st on left:

I've seen a few 230 videos and noticed it sometimes wag backside (see Kimsim youtube 1st video at 40 sec).
Initially I thought that's a brilliant way to scrub floor using the stationary brush. But sometimes I don't see this wagging action when going straight, so I wonder if there's a pattern to when wagging happens.

I see, I was found that it latest model, have improving to cutting edge design, if the previous Scooba 300 series and roomba 500 series can be the same design for without the sensor head at the front top bumper.
It is almost I facing it for my both Scooba & roomba to getting stuck at the lower part of furniture.
Looks forward 700 series Roomba has been improve like Scooba 230 without sensor head to built-in on top of from bumper side.

But I found the Scooba 230 does not moving over the wet floor and jam over to that small place, maybe too light weight design.

2nd last video shows your Scooba trapped underneath the drawers. U can simply stick a bumper protector directly on top of its wall sensor, that will prevent it from being trapped.

I tried sticking that b4 but it don't last long. Scooba is very persistent when it gets stuck and the bumper pad will come loose in no time.

The wiggling is only in the beginning and it puzzles me as to what it does too. To mix the cleaner with the water? Maybe only iRobot's engineer will know.

Haha Kimsim, I sold both set of samples supposely for my trial. I will get one eventually for my own use. How is the wetness compared to the 380? 230 had a final spraying jet which leaves the floor wet instead of drying so I am a little curious on this part.

Bakasa reported it is slightly drier compared to his 340 when it is functioning & I wanted to see your side too. Did the big brother get jealous of all the attention that he refused to work once the little one gets into the room

Sigh... dont buy those cheap ones... go get the Scotch type. If not, u can try applying some adhesive to it. I've been using them for YEARS... even my de-commissioned Scoobas still have one sticking on top.
