Neato XV-11 Beater Brush modification

I've never been a big fan of Neato, but I gotta tackle something that's been rattling in my head for long time...

Neato XV-11 Beater Brush modification
1. Removed all 6 rubber blades
2. Pasted 3 strips of "Pile weather seal"
3. Used “twist tie” to secure both ends

Result
1. No more “Tank-like” rattling noise
2. Floor is swept by bristles, instead of rubber flaps

Great mod on neato :)
U regret selling off ur Neato liao right?... ;p

Yesterday, something ridiculously scary happened.
Neato cliff sensor blocked by spider web, apparently the web reflected the Infrared beam & Neato did not back away from stairway. It went over the drop & a "heart-stopping" 40% of its body is dangling beyond the drop.
Luckily it stopped, else it'll be a plunge to downstairs.

From now on, I'll regularly inspect for spider web.

Yup Great and interesting Mod. I believe Neato Robotics felt a Bristle brush was needed too. The Bristle brushes would be available in the new Neato XV-21, which has the same parts and specifications as the XV-11. The accessories can also be bought to be used with the XV-11. There is a change of packaging in the newer batches of XV-11 too. Less bulky and much nicer packaging. The robot also comes within a bubble warp, which reduces the possibly of the wheel spring falling out on arrival. Their cleaning system is comparable to the Roboking and extended warranty is more widely available too. :)

I have a Retired Roomba 4xxx series to give away as spare parts.
Interested msg me at 9749-0700

Note: 1) Some problems with the beater's gears.
2) Comes w/o side brusher, beater, main brush, power supply, battery, controller.

Good if you need the motherboard, main wheels and motors and sensor as it is still functional except for the gears stripped problems.

Upz for you bro!

Am considering the scooba. Can the scooba be schedule like the roomba? The plan for me is to schedule the roomba to vacuum after the family is out to work. And after 3 hrs, the Scooba will do the mopping..

Scooba is not able to schedule like roomba. You will have to prep and clean after each run unlike roomba which is more autonomous.

Visit my store for a wide range of products.

Scooba is not a fully auto machine like Roomba but it does a thorough job in cleaning the floor. It leaves the surface with a much cleaner as compared to manual cleaning w a mop. It's whether u are prep to live w the trade off of maintenance, filling water and so on ...

I can get but I do not wish to sell something that I have no spares and accessories to support aftersales and warranty. I would not want to pray for 6 months that nothing will happen to the robots and get away with it and when you come with a defect after that only to hear from me that it cost so much $$$ to repair as I need to send back for warranty claim.

Furthermore I cannot understand what the robot is talking for the cheaper korean model and the european model is double the price.

Hi Folks

I got myself the iRobot Scooba from U.S. while holidaying there. The Scooba works fines and has work faithfully for me since Aug 2011.

However, today it was failed me for the first time. I tried to power-up but there's no response and no green light from the LED. I tried charging the battery again, and its was fully charged but still the same response.

I'm not sure why it has happen this way, has it died out on me? My last usage was last friday, when I use the Scooba with the sample of cleaning solution (that came bundle with Scooba).

I do understand that the local dealer does not repair export sets. Anyone else that I seek on this?

I guess only me and Uno can fixed this unless someone has the schematic to scooba as well which I doubt any manufacturer will provide even to their distributor.

Feel free to PM or email me robovac@ymail.com
