Hm...anythings to note if want to Hoot from WOOT?

Buying stuff from Woot.com is definitely a good option. But do note some products sold from woot like the Scooba does not come with a worldwide adaptor, and you may have to use it with a transformer. Warranty is also may not covered by the local iRobot agent, and there is a chance the products malfunctions on arrival or during the warranty period.
Buying locally at least there is an assurance of a one week 1 to 1 exchange if there were any manufacturing faults occur.
Do factor in the shipping charges or +- around 100 dollars, GST on product and shipping and a wait time of 2-3 weeks. Can use vpost or borderlinux for shipping arrangements.
Anyway good to consider various option to save on cost. :)

Another vote for LG Hom-Bot aka RoboKing...
Sold my iRobot 581 after seeing how quiet & non-destructive the LG robot performs.

5 critical winning points of LG robots are:
1) Easy to clean rubbish tray (iRobot tray always drop out some dust)
2) Non frequent banging of walls and furnitures, I can't stand robots banging walls/furniture...a bit stupid seeing iRobot always bang itself.
3) Li-Ion battery is way superior, low self-discharge.
4) Original Spare parts from LG is affordable.
5) Got small remote and intelligent navigation.

I'm a Scooba & Roboking user... I love my bots...

Initially bought the Scooba thinking it can replace both mopping & vacuuming / sweeping but seriously the Scooba is a great bot for mopping but due to it's design vacuuming is not that great. I had to "prepare" the floor before using the Scooba. The Scooba doesn't pick up big debris although the mopping / scrubbing function is fantastic...

Subsequently in order to work around the problem (Read in between the lines I'm lazy) of pre-cleaning before using the Scooba I bought the Roboking the following month (In my opinion the smartest bot around). My reason for buying a 2nd bot was because if I was using technology to make life easier why do I still need to do it manually prior to using my bot which to me does not make sense...

Currently I run the Roboking first to vacuum the floor first followed by the Scooba... The result is clean floor that have a mopped feel...

Bought both last year and everything is working fine...

Congrats on making the jump and I do agree w the stupid banging part. Good thing is I am not at home when it is banging(read cleaning) stuff.

I been considering testing out Roboking but my Roomba are still quite hardy, so gonna wait a while longer. You sold off your iRobot? :)

now there are 4 possible options ba
LG Hom-Bot
Roomba 531
Samsung SR8950
iclebo Arte

So far price is cheapest for LG Hom bot> $699 @ Havey... But in terms of performance (normal household , with no pet)... which is more suitable??

You have to note the $699 hom-bot you see in HN, are the old models. The latest square hom-bot are selling at $858 by local parallel importers.

Sold off the iRobot 581...got 3 lighthouses and a BIG remote control.
At first quite fun but realised the weak points.

For LG Hom-Bot, get the basic models will do. Think Harvey Norman selling VR5902LVM for SGD669 now. Hom-Bot 1.0 or Hom-Bot 2.0 all about the same...can do basic sweeping good enough.

Overseas set are RoboKing which are damn solid as they have the latest firmware & technology. Good to have but the Voice Response is in Korean? Expensive also.
