useful only if you got a full household of heavy users
even than, hd streaming of movies only require so much
unless all of you full time streamers, need to on your streaming plateforms, games and everything
else yes worthless

even for games, what you are looking for is not "speed", but other factors

or you semi retried and earn not less then $500 or not more then $600 to get blue chas,Workfare Income Supplement + Workfare Transport Concession Card + $5 internet (2room) , apply social room (different TC give different free food)
Do you consult social services or have an assigned social worker to help you determine the welfare benefits you are eligible for?

Exactly. Latency. But that is the game companies' server locations liao. Nothing faster internet can change.

Hows the latency? most impt for me.

Even if mobos can support 10gbps, i doubt the servers can...

moi cannot find mobo that support 10 gbps :frown:
Buy a 10g fiber card and switch to get it connected at 10g.

At the moment I find it useless. You are pretty much limited by your storage media's read/write speed as well as the throughput at the host's server end.

Unless you have an ultra big family where all 4 generations with 100+ people living together and using that single 10g wan connection.

I'll do a latency test later to see if anything can be seen between 1 and 10gbps

I will switch between 1Gbps SFP and 10Gbps SFP+ for the uplink between my LAN switch and the router.

Same SFP+ port will be used for the test and switch CLI will be used to ping the WAN gateway at the ISP side.

10gbps overkill for now
chicken and egg issue
you have the bandwidth but no hardware or applications to fully utilize or unlock its potential
