Is 10 gbps internet useless?

10Gbps Internet connection is meant to support multiple users.

It's like Singtel coming to my place ask me why I don't recon my 1Gbps to 2Gbps and pay lesser than no-contract. Issue is after contract end, my 2Gbps line non-contract price costs more than what I'm paying at 1 Gbps non-contract now.

Then 2 Gbps phase out... come 5Gbps.... ask them which website offer me 2Gbps speed?

Not necessarily. It is great for forming tunnels from location to location through netlink infrastructure. I haven't benchmarked stuff yet, but it is adequate for offsite NAS to NAS backups.

Nah. It will be the norm in 5 years.
Just that now, it's a hassle to upgrade your personal infrastructure to support the bigger pipe.

moi singtel router ish max 1Gbps per ethernet port... so if subscribe 10Gbps, means have to connect 10 devices to maximize the use of bandwidth?

I have over 40 devices on weekend, and 1Gbps more than suffices for me.

TVs are only at 100Mbps. My 16 port switch shows orange for TV, the rest are green. 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps, 10Gbps, is not for home users.

They also know home users don't need 2Gbps, it's all gimmicks to charge more for doing nothing.

I'll prefer a 1Gbps business line over a 10Gbps personal line.

Pretty sure my 4K movies on D+/NF is still through my TV at 100Mbps, I am using Cat6 cables from wall to my switch and Cat5E from device to wall socket.

My Dlink switch still shows 100Mbps lights (orange)

I plug my SImba into a LTE router at office, so my phones and tablet can connect and use in office.
