16GB not enough lah. The pictures, videos and music takes up alot of space. Why? Cos all high quality HD size. Unless you don't take picture, dun put music, dun take video - then why buy iphone at the first place?? Buy iphone just to let ppl know you have iPhone?? or use it's functions?

There are people who use it for the smoothness of the UI. The app store's offerings, ease of use etc.
Use iPhone doesn't mean must use it to take photos/videos.

the only reason i can think of apple killing off 32gb instead of 16gb is because most will go for 32gb if it's offered as the lowest option and that profit margin is low compared to 16gb at same price point.

now apple offer 16gb, 64gb and 128gb, clearly they target specific ppl; 16gb for ppl who want cheapest flagship, 64gb for average joe and 128gb for power user.

in my opinion, there's only 2 choices; 64gb and 128gb.

i am thinking of getting the 16GB only. And as and when need big storage, I will pay for the monthly iCloud storage. Like my coming trip to Jp, i will get that month a 200GB storage for S$4.98. You guys think this strategy for works fr me? I don't storage lots of stuff, but only when I travel then I shoot lots of pics and videos, its good and safer for me to do daily icloud syncing every night in hotel vi wifi.

iCloud storage upgrade pricing

Penny wise pound foolish.

1) 2yrs of 200GB storage from cloud = $120

2) Spending your night do syncing via wifi = 2hrs? depending on ur network speed and some hotel wifi are not free.

3) loading pictures from cloud? LOL. dependant on ur mobile speed as well. People don't like to wait for 5 sec just to see a picture.

4) Mobile data plan got a limit. U exceed. u gotta pay.. Everytime gotta be aware of ur data limit.

Just spent additional $140. solve all ur above problem.

i am not an iphone user. just curious does the health of the mem storage of the phone affect the smoothness on operation?

Based on my experience, it does.
If the phone is filled to the brim, the UI is slower etc.

Do note, this is purely based on my experiences.

Many will prefer to pay 140 more for the 64GB, including myself. But 16GB is actally enough for light users who just store some songs, pics and does not download a lot of games.

for pics n videos, there's already apps like Google+ which gives u 15gb extra. and the process is fuss free, auto upload.

intensive games would be a problem though. anyway, if u play simple games on phone, it won't be an issue.

I'm a average to light user in terms of apps. Filled up less than 2 page on my ip6+, with about 10 folders. Already used up 13g of the 64g. 16g is def not enough

I have no reason to get 128GB, but feels like it's a "safer" option, so I don't have to think about storage AT ALL.

Do you feel at all you should get 128GB instead?
