I also use an external switch to off the camera when not in use. So far no problem with the timing/date.
Perhaps you try checking with other users whether if they use the camera's own off/on buttons faces the same problem as you?
I'm using the ITB HD Black Box PC Player version 1.3.7 that comes in the original 8GB Micro SD memory card.

Set time zone set to GMT+8 Singapore when i first do the settings after installing. After saving the settings, put the memory card into ITB-100SPW and i didn't remove the memory card since then.
My ITB-100SPW on/off button also not that good. Quite a few times i have to press and hold more than 2 to 3 times before i can switch it on or off. Sometimes no respond or change to client/hot spot mode.
To on and off, hold button for at least 3 seconds.just pressing it once won't work, need to hold.

I believed I have arranged for an exchange for u.My ITB-100SPW (Bought and installed on 24th May 2014) today having problem and not sure if anyone of you having the same issue.
There are no usual voice coming out from the device for example, GPS started / Start recording and etc. Even then I tried to do a format, it also does not have any sound at all.
There are still recording and able to access to the device but when I tried to access the settings, the software hanged and just give me a black screen.
Changing of another SD Card does not resolve the issue.
Last few days, the device strangely alert me on SD Card issue and it was fine after I formatted the SD card and today, it give me no sound at all.
Wonder if anyone same as me or just me alone.
Had already message contact number via sms but still waiting for their reply.
I realised the ipass software for android upgraded. After that, I am no longer able to access the device settings as well.
