Thanks for the info and advice. Will shift or remove some places. What would you recommend to remove? If it is roughly the same things, then no point seeing.

really depends on what u like.
for me, I am very into temples and shrines, so I will cut down and visit only the more iconic ones. some of them are along the way, so can still keep them in the itinerary, just spend less time, or skip if running short of time.

u can also group together the shopping in Osaka. namba, shinsaibashi, dotonbori, and takashimaya are all in one area, so can just visit once unless u staying in that area

Day 2: Kawaguchiko
Day 3: Gotemba outlet and to Shinjuku
Day 4: Shop around Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku
Day 5: Day trip to Nikko (Is the Edo Wonderland worth to go?)
Day 6: Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree
Day 7: Tsukuki Market, Odaiba
Day 8: Disney
Day 9: Akihabara, Ginza
Day 10: Evening flight so not sure what to do in the afternoon.

Day 5 : Mayb u can consider visit nikko n overnight in a ryokan at kinugawa onsen area. Next morning after breakfast can walk around kinugawa onsen area. ( very beautiful during autumn)
After walking u can take train straight to asakusa and continue your Day 6 activities. ( there is a nikko two day pass by Tobu railways from asakusa )

Day 7 : not sure when u goin, but do check if the market still open as they are shifting in few months time.

Oic, then no choice.

On the day itself, it wil b better if u can set off to nikko as early as u can.

As the place require alot of walking to the attractions n in the attractions. Plus the loop bus have timing too, thus quite time consuming.

Actually after the morning market at tsukji, u can walk to ginza. ( 5 mins walk )
After ginza then u go odaibo ( night view nicer )

Hi everybody. I will be travelling to Japan from 31 Jul to 10 Aug and will be reaching Narita Airport at 8.45am on 31 July and leaving Narita Airport at 6.05pm on 10 Aug.

Would need advice which option should I choose upon landing and the options are as follows:

1) Travel straight to Kyoto and stay there for a few days before going to Mount Fuji (stay 1 night), then spend remaining days in Tokyo

2) Travel to Tokyo and stay there for 1-2 days before going to Kyoto and stay there for a few days before going to Mount Fuji (stay 1 night), then spend remaining days in Tokyo

3) Travel to Mount Fuji (stay 1 night), then travel to Kyoto and stay for a few days before going to Tokyo to spend remaining days.

Reason why I choose Tokyo as the last stop because I am afraid that it would be too rush to travel to Narita Aiport on the last day. However, I welcome any suggestion

i would choose 1 or 3 coz option 2 will require an additional change of hotel.
i agree with u on putting tokyo last. easier to get to airport, and u can do last minute shopping in tokyo.

I will be focusing in Tokyo area (also mt fuji) for all the days except for Kamogawa Seaworld which is out of Tokyo.

Ohh i see, initially i was thinking of taking the skyliner from Narita to Shinjuku. And later use normal transport to take to Narita when going back. Seems like Tokyo wide pass will do the trick.

If just Osaka, its too long. IMO, Osaka worth only 2 days of your time. Spend 4 days in Kyoto, 1 day in Kobe and 1 day in Nara.

What about Kyoto? Is Gion better or near Kyoto Station?
My flight is a KIX at 10am, what would be the best way to Kansai Intl from Kyoto and what time should I leave? I'm worried because I read that the station opens at 630, and takes around 75minutes, would it be too late when I reach the airport around 8?

namba is good. lots of shopping and food in the area.

staying near Osaka/umeda station may be better for ur case since u are making day trips out of Osaka. lots of malls in umeda also

for Kyoto, Kyoto station will be good... easier to get ard

U can check out Japanican hot hotel sale (very good offer price ) for Osaka n Kyoto now til 27 April.

Mayb u can consider one night stay at Kanazawa ( hotel Mystay ) It a beautiful town and things there are not expensive yet. Two hours train ride from Kyoto.
