There's way too many places to visit in Chubu - Gero Onsen/ Gujo-Hachiman/ Inuyama/ Takayama/ Kamikochi/ Gokayama/ Noto Peninsula/ Kaga Onsen/ Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route/ Nagano - Bessho/ Nozawa Onsen.

some r just not very accessible if you don't drive. and some of the places u cited are not open in december so...

You didn't indicate which month you were going to visit. Anyway, I don't drive. It's always public transport for me. In fact 90% of my transport for recent trip in Chubu is highway bus and local bus. Have fun!

Noto Peninsula is a little hard to travel without a car. Many of the attractions are located along the coast. But if you did understand Japanese, there's local bus services (though not frequent). Or you could just visit Naka-Noto (Wakura Onsen to stay), there's a Noto Railway which runs along Nanao Bay. About 1hr limited express from Kanazawa to Wakura Onsen/ Nanao.

Alternatively you could take those regular sightseeing buses such as Asaichi-Go or Wajima-Go (English speaking guides on board). They are all F&E day tours. Start and end points are at Kanazawa for the latter. I took another bus known as Okunoto-Go (no guides, only a Japanese driver) instead to head towards Wakura Onsen. These buses operate daily.

Day 1 - reach Narita 740am, will take train to Kawaguchiko (expect to reach afternoon), thinking of taking bus when coming back. Stay in Kawaguchiko. (booked already)
Explore Kawaguchiko, Kachikachi-yama Ropeway
Day 2- Explore remaining of Kawaguchiko, maybe walk around the lake or take the bus (haven decide yet), intend to catch 1600plus bus back to Shinjuku. Stay in Shinjuku airbnb for the nex few days.
Day 3 - Disneysea
Day 4 - Shibuya, Harajuku, Meji Shrine and Tokyo Towers for the night
Day 5 - Fish Market, Imperial East Garden
Day 6 - Flight back at 715pm. Any suggestions?

I wanted to do a day trip out to Kamakura, but I reckon it will be too rush. Want to really relax and enjoy rather than rush through to cover things. Any suggestions?

u may want to consider taking highway bus to kawaguchiko from shinjuku on ur first day. it is faster and cheaper to go by bus, and ur train from narita will pass thru tokyo anyway

for day 5, u can consider going ginza in the evening since it is near. tokyo tower can also be done on day 5.

how about visiting asakusa and ueno on day 6?
too rush to do kamakura, u dun have many days.

thanks for your help. I was looking at the highway bus from Shinjuku to kawaguchiko but If i were to reserve online and for some reason I cannot reach on time, I have to take the next bus subjected to availability right? Going back will be easier for me to manage my time.
But good suggestion, maybe I will look at that option too.

There's summer festivals in late July to August. Early July means Tanabata festivals. Many street stalls for you to venture during such festivals.

it will be better to stay a night at hakone to enjoy the onsen. less rush also.

day 6 looks a bit packed. and it will be nice to see the night view at odaiba. maybe go ginza first then odaiba?

Why not switch Ueno with Tsukiji? It's under Taito district along with Asakusa and Akiba. For me and my SO, we always like to take a slow walk from Tsukiji Outer Market over to Ginza, probably about 15-20 min. You'll pass by Kabukiza which is located near Higashi-Ginza station.

Just a word of caution, I'm not sure if you'd be one to spend a lot of time in each area. Took us 1-2D at Akiba for previous trips due to summer events. Asakusa and Skytree could take a day. There are a couple of animal cafes in Asakusa. Ueno could take up half a day as well. Unless you're just there for the attraction spots.

It really boils down to where you'd be visiting. Shibuya and Harajuku are very big areas. You can walk down from Harajuku to Omotesando. There are a lot of alleys in Omotesando where many more smaller shops (not boutiques) and cafes are located.

u can do that. since u are already covering harajuku and shibuya in day 1.

like wat thwysg said, it really depends on ur interest and wat u plan to do at each place. if u are a big anime fan, even a whole day at akihabara wouldnt be enough. whereas for those who are not into anime, half a day or less is enough just to get a feel of the anime scene in japan. some ppl choose to skip akihabara altogether.

u can always change ur plan on the go. the places are not that far apart and u can always reshuffle ur itinerary when u are there. at most u just incur slightly more transport time and cost, but tt will be quite minimum. so just have a rough plan and adjust as needed when u are there.
