More of a hit-and-miss. Depends on the weather condtions. Higher chance to see it around the Five Lakes.

personally i think shldnt add hiroshima coz it will be good to have at least 2 days there, and i dun think u can squeeze that in, unless u can cut down some days from kyoto or osaka.
however, there are many ppl who do hiroshima as a day trip from osaka/kyoto. so u can keep that option open if u have a spare day.

Going on a 6d5n trip from. 14feb to 19feb
So far this is what i have planned so far

14feb
Landing late so straight to airbnb at shinjuku area. Have dinner and and wander around shinjuku. Golden gai perhaps.

15feb
Hakone + Mount fuji tour

16feb
Toyosu + tsukiji
Harajuku later in the afternoon
Tokyo metropolitan building
Don Quijote and tower of knives + robot restaurant for evening

17feb
Odaiba + Shibuya in the morning
Maybe can squeeze in meiji shrine
Akihabara and visit all the floors of M's
One high end dining for dinner 2/3 michelin star

18feb
Disneysea

19feb
Checkout of airbnb
Free and easy for encore of liked place + last minute shopping
9.40pm time to fly.

This is based on what me and bro wanna do.
Is this feasible?

Thanks in advance

odaiba and shibuya are from one end to another , and you are squeezing in akihibara as well , you will have no time to enjoy each area

you should combine areas that are close to one another for a day ,like shibuya ,harajuku and the tokyo building in shinjuku

Guess im not too good with the areas. Is Google maps the only way to plan which areas are close to each other?

Plus am i squeezing in too much with hakone and disneysea?

Can take a look at japan-guide also. For Tokyo, they group the attractions by area.

If it is ur first time to Tokyo, 6days is a bit too short to squeeze in Disney and hakone. Will be better if u can drop one or both

Regular Japan travelers, I need some guidance.

Planning first trip to Japan this coming April for two weeks. Tentatively from 6th to 21st.

Been reading up from blogs to japan-guide but I am still a bit lost as there are so many places you can visit in just one city! I hope it is not too much to ask but I need some recommendations from your experiences. Planned my own trips before to other countries, but Japan is really overwhelming with attractions from the review sites. Looks like I can make it an annual trip judging from the recommendations.

I was hoping to catch the Sakura blossom, Mt Fuji, some cycling/hiking, hot springs and a little shopping.

Looking at this itinerary, I am afraid it would be too fast paced and I would not be able to fully enjoy it like sitting in the park sipping some coffee.

How about Disneyland? Or should I go Sea? Goodness! :s13:

How about the Nara Park?

Please share some input.

Have you checked the trip reports under the sticky threads?

If you liked rides, you could also check out Fuji-Q Highland. As for Disney Parks, there’s different shows and characters for each Park. Try both parks if you’ve got the time. Disneyland should be having Easter Egg Hunt in April. I’ve done the hunts twice.

Usually people like to run around for their first trip, mainly Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka. I’ve done Tokyo alone for my first trip and had done it for a 14D trip too. So the decision is yours.

how about going both disneyland and disneysea since both have their own unique attractions.

where to go depends on ur own style of travelling. the suggested itinerary from japan-guide aims to see the most within 2 weeks, hitting most of the key attractions.
alternatively, u can have a more relaxed pace, and focus more time in each area. u can just focus on tokyo and its surrounding. maybe a week in tokyo, and another week for hakone, kawaguchi nikko etc.

for hiking, u can consider mount takao and mount mitake. both can be done as day trips from tokyo. there are hiking trails in nikko as well, through the marshlands in to waterfalls

For cycling near Mt Fuji, I recommend Lake Kawaguchi and the adjoining lakes.
If you adventurous, can try shimanami kaido from Ehime to Onomichi

I see. Seems like I had better not be too ambitious.

That's is some recommendations I will look into.

Interesting recommendations. Really gorgeous lakes.

Thanks all.

Will slowly compile and remove excess from there.

You could always insert some parks within Tokyo city throughout your trip if you had decided to concentrate just Tokyo and a few day trips outside of the city.

I went to Showa Kinen Park during different months to catch the different seasonal flowers during my short solo trips in May and September last year. Spent half day there and then the other half at Tachikawa station. Many shopping malls, and a huge Nitori! And a huge Book-Off. There’s a few other Japanese gardens within the city which you could also consider, besides Shinjuku Gyoen/ Ueno Park/ Yoyogi Park/ Inokashira Park.

http://teien.tokyo-park.or.jp/en/index.html

Day trips you could consider are Hakone, Kawaguchiko, Kawagoe, Yokohama, Kamakura, Enoshima. There are some hiking trails around Kamakura if you’re really into trekking. You might also be in time to catch some sakura trees on Mt. Takao. Easy half day trip.

Chilling at cafes? Can head to Kagurazaka, Shimokitazawa, Kichijoji, Omotesando/ Aoyama, Ginza. Been to a few sweets places on my own for my two recent trips as well.

Viewing observatories - Mori Tower at Roppongi, Bunkyo Civic Centre, Tokyo Metro Govt Building, World Trade Centre at Hamamatsucho, Fuji TV at Odaiba besides the famous Tokyo Tower and SkyTree.

Too many things to do in Tokyo. Been there for 10 trips but I always have new things to see and places to visit every time!

Goodness 10 trips!

Realised that they do have a lot of gardens and parks. I foresee myself losing lots of weight then.

So many places to trek I better get my fitness ready.

Also would like to have some ideas on laundry mat there. As I intend to pack light using back pack instead of bringing luggage, how expensive is the laundry over there?

Don't mind using those laundry shops which tend to be cheaper than hotel.

Coin laundromats would be the cheapest I supposed. Not sure where you’re staying, Dormy Inn charges ¥100 per cycle for its dryers, the washers with the detergent are free to use. Tokyu Stay has washers cum dryers inside the rooms, one time free detergent packet, after which you can purchase from the concierge. Generally about ¥100-300 I guess for other laundromats. I did use one once when I stayed in Keio Plaza. It was ¥200 per wash and ¥100 per dry cycle. Detergent cost ¥30 from a dispenser. Just a rough estimate for your reference.
