Hi,

Appreciate some inputs to my trip,

Oct 3rd Arrive at Narita
Day 1: is pretty much gone by the time i reach hotel (Shinjuku)

Day 2: Gotemba Outlet whole day

Day 3: Shibuya & Harajuku

Day 4: Disneyland or Disneysea (haven decide yet) whole day

Day 5: Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree, & Ameyoko

Day 6: Tsukiji, Ginza (mayb be skipping), Tokyo Station, Akihabara

Day 7: Yokohama whole day

Day 8: Nakano, Shinjuku

Day 9: Morning check out & head back to Singapore

Not heading to Odaiba. Any suggestion on the schedule?

Also, any idea which smart card i should get for travelling? and which type of wifi acess is better (wifi sim or wifi egg)

Thanks!!

looks good.
u can consider visiting fuji 5 lake area or hakone to have a look at mt fuji since they are near gotemba. there are passes that covers these places, such as hakone free pass that cover gotemba and hakone.
u can just get a SUICA store-value card to get around in tokyo.

Am skipping Hakone, coz some Japan ex-colleagues mention the volcano very active recently, so parts of Hakone may b closed, quite random. So skipped it. Since anyway, like not enough time to shop alr, base on current schedule

yah, certain part of hakone is closed off due to seismic activities. u can go lake kawaguchi instead if u want a view of Mt Fuji, quite rush also if u dun plan to stay a night there.

how much is the highway bus to Nagasaki and to kumamoto?
maybe can consider using 3-day northern Kyushu pass for 8500yen to cover these 2 trip to save some time.

bus to unzen is not very frequent, so make sure to check the bus schedule.

suzenji I feel u can skip if not enuf time. they dun have information sign to explain the miniature of the 53 post station from edo period. the only thing we can recognise is mt Fuji, other than that it is just a nice garden

have already bought 3days northern Kyushu sunq pass. There's discount at japanican website at 5,700 yen. :D

Yeah, there's only 3timings for the express bus to unzen. Will have to take alternate route (train + bus) if failed to catch 1pm bus... :(

Thank you for the advice about suzenji, think I'll skip it then. :)

if u are taking train to Nagasaki with the pass, u shld be able to reach a bit earlier. the jr pass covers part of the train+bus route, but a bit troublesome lah.

if cant make to to unzen, I suggest going Nagasaki peace park and memorial. interesting to learn about the history of the city.

Nay, didn't buy jr pass. bought Sunq pass instead, which is for highway bus + local bus...

18/9: Arrive in Tokyo. Make my way to Shinagawa to drop my bags before exploring a bit.

19-21/9: music festival in Odaiba

22/9: Morning train to Osaka and probably explore Namba/Dotonburi for dinner.

23/9: Currently undecided yet

24/9: Day trip to Kyoto. Mainly want to visit Kiyomizudera, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Kinkakuji. Where is a good place to eat in Kyoto? And will it be advisable to leave Kyoto late like 10-11pm?

25/9: Maybe a half day trip to Nara.

26/9: morning trip to Kaiyukan then last minute shopping before going to Kansai airport to fly back.

I'm not staying in Kyoto so thinking of squeezing all in one day. If it's too rushed, I may go back a second day.

any reason for leaving Kyoto so late?
probably nothing to do that late at night in Kyoto. even the shops in Kyoto station would have closed by then.

Actually no reason, it does feels like Kyoto is more suited for the day. Maybe I'll leave earlier for Kyoto and come back to Osaka earlier. Just thinking if I can fit all the places in a day. Not really a castle person so I probably won't visit.

20/12 looks quite packed. iwakuni will take at about half a day coz need to take train and bus to get to the bridge. and u can visit iwakuni castle which is on top of a hill and reachable by ropeway.
peace park and memorial museum will take a few hours as well. and sun sets very early in winter, so u dun have much day light hours for sightseeing. can go Hondori street and okonomiyaki village at night.

ur osaka part looks quite empty though, just a lot of shopping especially 30 and 31/12. shops will probably close early on new years eve, and most shops dun open on new year day. u may want to have alternative plans in case nothing open. can go visit temple/shrine, or go somewhere for natural scenery e.g. minoo park or even amanohashidate

u can visit gion in the evening to catch geishas. or check if there is any festival or event such that there is night illumination at some temples. otherwise, just return to osaka
