[try to go anime festival in the afternoon instead. queue is crazy in the morning coz of ppl queue for limited edition merchandises.
can consider walking ard odaiba since u are already there for anime festival. ]

26 ( Sat ) - Tsukiji Fish market / Owl Cafe ||| Shinjuku , Shibuya

27 ( Sun ) - http://tokyoexcess.blogspot.sg/2013/03/tokyo-2013-trip-highlights-day-6-nissin.html

[there is an instant noodle museum in Osaka as well. see which one fits into ur itinerary better. if u are going yokohama only for the instant noodle museum, then maybe can consider going for the one in Osaka instead. then u can free up a day in Tokyo for more sightseeing.]

28 ( Mon ) - Disneyland

29 ( Tues ) - Toshima - J-WORLD Tokyo Indoor Theme Park(Naruto/Dball/OnePiece) / KappA bashi(restraunt supply) // Fox Village
[where is this fox village u are visiting?]

[dun think u have time for Disneyland coz it will take the whole day]

31 ( Thur ) - USJ

1 ( Fri ) - Nara Park ( random roaming )

2 ( Sat ) -

3 ( Sun ) -

4 ( Mon ) - 8 am flight Travel Back Singapore

thanks for your advice, I'm ok with half day disneyland as i'll be staying till closing for the fireworks.

for hakone, will be leaving shinjuku early morning, target to reach Hakone ard 9am.

so far, is my itinerary ok?

Have a question i need help, is there an option to reserve seats using the JR East Pass on the Shinkansen? or is it chargeable? thanks

the fox village is located in tohoku region, somewhere between fukushima and sendai. quite out of the way from Tokyo.
one-way shinkansen will coz u 10150 yen and about 2hrs. the taxi ride is 4000yen one way according to this:
http://www.japan-guide.com/forum/quereadisplay.html?0+122569
so overall u going to spends more than $300 for that day trip. not worth the time and money in my opinion. will be better if it is part of a trip to tohoku region, as a day trip from sendai.

yes, u can make ur own cup noodles. requires reservation:
http://www.instantramen-museum.jp/en/attraction/crfactory.html
can also decorate the cup.. no reservations required:

the crowd and queues in Disneyland is really bad. if u are into rides, u probably will not be able to cover everything even with a full day there.

depends on what u plan to see and do in hakone. there are enuf attractions in hakone for 1-2 days. so squeezing it with gotemba is going to be quite rush

yes, u can make reservations for free using JR East pass:

Hi all, my first time travelling to JP, also my furthest trip thus far.

have just booked my tickets.. travelling this sep, 10-23 sep. Will be taking SQ.. total of about 2 weeks.. hoping to cover tokyo and hokkaido with my wife (honeymoon)

itenerary looks something like this:

day 1: touchdown Haneda Airport, travel to Hokkaido (need advice on how to go there, Shinkansen or domestic flight)
day 2-4: explore Hokkaido (need recommendations on hotels, hopefully central enough to the city. places to visit? will definitely savour the seafood hokkaido has to offer)
day 5-7: back to tokyo, check in disneyland/sea hotel (need recommendation)
day 8-13: check in shinjuku hotel (need recommendation)
places of interest to visit?
definitely will check out shopping hotspots like akihabara, ginza

internet connectivity wise: should i get a wifi egg or 4g sim card?
re: currency - should i exchange desired amount all in sg or 50-50?

hopefully I can get more input so as to piece together my itenerary. thanks!

Domestic flight for you way more convenient. If you want train ... you're looking at easily 5 hours for Haneda - Hakodate, and another 4 hours to Sapporo (including waiting times between trains).

What city? Sapporo? Hakodate? Otaru?

Anyway last Autumn I did a trip to a few places in Hokkaido, you can check out the itinerary on blog if looking for some inspiration.

4g sim card if it's only you traveling. If with more than 1 person ... for me even just 2 ppl (me and my wife) we use pocket wifi cos it lasts the whole day and don't need to worry much about battery and juggling powerbank the whole day.

Currency -- exchange everything you expect to use here in SG and bring over.

hi bro

sorry for the late revert, very busy with work at the beginning of the year plus moving into new flat..

Noted on domestic flight. any preferred airline?

Hokkaido wise, will probably go to Sapporo (chitose airport)
Is it wise to try to cover another city, in Hokkaido or Kanto? 14 days seem manageable..

need your expertise on hotels to book in sapporo, we're pretty much set on Keio or sunroute plaza in Shinjuku as there's shuttle bus to disney. we save on booking another hotel near disney in that sense.

noted on using pocket wifi, will probably get overseas router at Changi recommends.

Thanks for looking!

[going to be very rush. can put the kyoto places on day 8 instead]

not too sure... u will have to check the schedule of the various domestic airlines.
since u are arriving so late, i would suggest u stay a night before taking domestic flight. even if there are domestic flight that late, u are going to arrive at ur destination past midnight and there will not be trains avail to take u into the city

for 7 days, just stick to tokyo. u will not need to get JR pass if just going tokyo. just get their store-value card, SUICA to get ard

kyoto is very far from tokyo, and it take 3hrs by shinkansen to get from tokyo to kyoto. not going to be worth the time and cost to go kyoto just for 1 day. kyoto itself would require 2-3 days to cover properly, and there are other places such as osaka and kobe that is near to kyoto. so better to leave these places for another trip

u can check out japan guide for the popular places to visit in tokyo:
