why not just rent a wifi egg at changi.
Using Changi mifi(that orange brick). Damn good battery life and signal(minus those mountainous tunnel) I have signal all the way..went hakuba, Alpine route, toyama, shirakawago, kanazawa, currently in nagano..
Hi, can I check the weight? Hope it is not too heavy to put in a backpack.
i am going to japan next month for 15 days, and bought 2 x 8 days japan simcard from changi recommends.
As per the email communique with changi recommends representative, it is unlimited 4G for 8 days and no fair usage policy, same as their wifi egg rental type.
it is $21.9 for an 8 days sim card, but they have 17% discount now so its cheap to buy. Plus changi recommends gave out a $10 e-voucher which stacks with the 17% discount, hence i got 2 cards for just $26 and some cents.
my trip last year, i used the wifi egg and it was good all around, and i suspect the telco for the wifi egg and the sim card should be the same, hence i do not expect any issues with the sim card.
