Went to Fukuoka last week. Most if the companies only have pickup for major airport like Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido. So settled for Changi recommend. 8 days for $21.90. pickup at changi airport before flying. Upon arriving at Fukuoka, had some problem detecting docomo 4G, only could get 3G. Only after rebooting then can detect 4G.

I've posted before.. but you guys can search Pokefi in the forums and on google too.

Great if you travel often and/or share with family that travel at different times.

I used to be a great supporter of renting Changi Recommends pocket wifi but this allows me to use it in any country without needing to do any settings or arrangements beforehand.

Just one flat rate data top up fee for the world. USD15 for 5gb.

Only drawback would be you have to buy your router/pocket wifi from them. However the costs long term will be cheaper than most other solutions.

They changed .? Long ago I rent was a Softbank damm cmi in some area
Docomo oso slow at times. I was in my hotel and it couldn't detect 4G. So had to use hotel WiFi. Then after leaving the hotel, switched to docomo oso slow...H, H+ , 3G then finally LTE. Take almost 3-4mins

Going to try out Yogofi for my upcoming Japan trip only $1.90 per day compare to Changiwifi $3. Hope that the signal is good.
