I've been listening to the Ocharaku CKM55 for about an hour and it's crazy how good it sounds for its price. TS, if you have the time, you really must go and try out for yourself.

Quite sad that I didn't manage to try any Ocharaku stuff. :(
Did manage to see a lot of headphones at Yodabashi-Akiba though. :s22:
But didn't have time to stay long and audition stuff. :(
Hopefully I'll be able to find some good stuff tomorrow. :o

By the way, if anyone is interested in having a listen to the DX90J, can just drop me a PM. :)

Another quick update.
Didn't have much time to roam about since this is mainly a study trip. :(
Hooted some cables since it wasn't that expensive. :)
Was hoping to be able to explore more options but since I don't have much time, these should do for the time being.

Which one store would you recommend to visit, BIC Camera or Fujiya Avic?

Maybe you would want to ask some other bros like @Haonan for advice since it's still my first trip there. :o

For audio shops, I only managed to visit 3 places:
1) Yodabashi-Akiba @ Akihabara
-> Huge. half a floor dedicated to personal audio stuff. Remember seeing a huge selection of headphones/IEMs but not as many portable sources/amps. Don't remember seeing the more rarer brands like FitEar, Final Audio Design, etc... (Or maybe it was at one corner and I didn't see it)
2) Fujiya Avic @ Nakano Broadway
-> Small shop. Quite a number of 2nd hand goods. Seen the more rarer stuff like FitEar, etc... Even saw a new Alo Continental V3. :D Also the place where I bought the DX90J.
3) BIC Camera @ Ikebukuro
-> Medium sized. one floor dedicated for audio stuff. Decent selection of both headphones and portable amps, etc... Saw some rarer brand like the Final Audio Design. Saw an lower end Ocharaku IEM but didn't have time to try it. :(

Cant find much info for diff betw dx90 and dx90j. Anyone can share specs diff?

So far this is differences from the Japanese websites:

1) The solder used on the DX90J's internal circuit boards uses lead-free silver with more than 7 times more silver content as compared to the DX90. This results in an increased electrical conductivity of the circuit, resulting in lower electrical resistance and improving the sound quality.

2) The production is ISO9001/ISO14001 certified, ensuring the quality of the unit.

Specifications wise looks the same.

But sounds different according to my ears. :)
Haven't tried the amplifier section yet.

No problem. :)

First impressions is that it sounds like a more refined DX90.
I'm haven't tried the amp section yet, only as a DAC with the V3.

Bass is slightly leaner and cleaner.
Mids smoother.
Highs smoother and less harsh.

Bro, mind if you load some piano concertos and share how they sound? :s22:
