Hi guys, just wanna share my experience. Bought a set 6 months back. I use it only when i'm running. The sound is really good for a bluetooth headset. I was kinda amazed when i first heard it.

But this pair has given up on me twice. The first time I sent it for warranty claim, they claimed that it was a faulty battery. They gave me a new set after that.

Continued running with the new pair. After a few runs the second set recently stopped working. I'm able to charge it, but the buttons don't work, and i can't switch on the device.

I am fairly certain, that the earbuds stopped working as they are not sweatproof as what the company claims to be. The earbuds started loosing the Bluetooth signal and came to a sudden stop, mid run, while I was sweating heavily. I could feel my sweat nudging past the earbuds and going into my ear.

Their warrenty center is in Paya lebar!! And in Singapore only 1 one year Warranty is applicable.

All these, to me, makes for unworthy purchase. I think there are better alternatives there and when it comes to sports earphones, sound quality should not be the only main concern.

So if you are purchasing this set for the main purpose of running outdoors, think twice and do give a the online reviews a good read.

The 1st generation was widely known to have 2 major flaws - sweat seeps in via the buttons, and overcharging. Either one will wreck the earphones. The CEO openly admitted to the button flaw so probably that's why they honour no-nonsense replacements. Overcharging can be avoided by charging via PC/laptop instead of other charging devices (something to do with electric current too high).

If I were you, I'll try twisting the arm of the local distributor into exchanging your faulty but still under warranty X1 with the newer X2. Suggest topping up the price difference and see what they say. If not, your frustrating experience with the sweatfail X1 will continue :(

They corrected the button flaw for the 2nd generation X2. I have owned a pair for 2+ months now, and I sweat like mad and wear it upside down (i.e the buttons are in my sweaty hair all the time). As for overcharging, I avoid it religiously by charging via my computer. Even on 1 rare occasion when it ran out of juice at the stadium I didn't charge it via my portable charger. Damn kiasi bcos if it dies my RMA have to send back to America.

Did you guys faced any issue with its bluetooth signal keep dropping or getting distortion/hiccups when connected to a windows 10 laptop/PC ? mine did.

signal ok when connected to android phone or iphone or hi res audio player, but not win10.

I find that it is especially bad if the laptop/PC only turn on bluetooth but not together with wifi. weird huh...

Very good feedback there both gentlemen above me. Definitely taken heed of your advice against overcharging. My Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 died on me due to overcharging with my turbo charger...lol...

Those with Changi Rewards card can go electronics hub @ T3 to buy X2 at $217. Got 7% + 10% discount. That's like IT Show promo price kind. Haha.

can anyone confirm this? don't want to make a wasted trip thanks!

also you're talking about the free to sign up, Changi Rewards card right?

awesome

thanks brother, i will check it out. wish Decibel could match the price so i don't have to travel to the airport.

i'm currently using the Jabra Pulse but the firmware updates don't work well with my iMac OSX El Capitan, kinda pissed off about the lack of Mac Support. Also the Heartrate monitoring is not great and doesn't work half the time when used with my iphone 6s... I will prolly let go of the Jabra Pulse cheap and pick up the Jaybirds. Hopefully someone with a Windows / Android system will pick it up and have a better experience.

His link was actually to the 2nd gen version.
Currently, the X2 is still going for USD 129 on Amazon.

I found a couple of articles regarding the sweat issue; but where do you find the source for the over-charging issue? & is it restricted to the gen1 BBX? Till now I don't dare to use iPad chargers (2.1A) to charge my BBX2...
