Hi guys! Planning a trip to Taiwan next yr. Right now just monitoring the tix prices of Scoot & Jetstar. SQ is way too expensive, timing for Eva Air is terrible.

Scoot seems to be cheaper right now but online reviews of Scoot is not that good. Would appreciate your input if you've taken either of them to Taipei.

Thanks in advance!

Jetstar's handcarry allowance is only 7kg while Scoot's is 10kg, if that's a consideration.

Scoot is generally ok, just occasionally may have flight change. personally, flight timing more important & willing to pay extra for good timing

Jetstar seems to be cheaper if u exclude some baggage cost.
Food wise scoot is better.
Comfort wise about the same. Delay or not see your luck liao.

This is one of the reason why I prefer scoot as I usually don't check in luggage and I feel the seat is more comfortable than Jetstar.

*** Please take note that Scoot credit card payment subject additional $20. :(

I noticed 1 good thing about paying using AXS.

You can first book the flight with AXS payment (Valid for 24/48 hours, cannot remember clearly).

If there is a drop of price, you can book a new flight and just let the 1st booking to expire.

24 hours but how likely there will be a massive price drop to justify the inconvenience?

i prefer scoot in general, esp if there’s the new B787

but if not wrong they alr removed the AXS payment option. so yes there’s the extra $20
